We opened our first salon in south Oklahoma City in May of 1987. As the popularity of indoor tanning grew in the 1990s, we introduced our superstore concept to offer more variety to our customers.

With 50+ locations in 4 states At the Beach has many opportunities for growth. We are a team of over 300 highly motivated individuals from a variety of backgrounds.
All changes, from freezes and cancellations to updating drafting info, need to be made in store at least 5 days before your next draft. Keep in mind drafts are made early in the morning. Any changes made after that may not take effect till next month. The account can be changed by visiting the store location where you purchased your membership and giving At The Beach staff the new information.

I'll start my review with a positive. This location is overcoming new changes,. They've had completely new staff working at this location for the past couple of months or so. One of my favorites to see was Courtney and from reading the reviews, I'm not the only one. Tonight, I had such a pleasant experience with the girl working, but of course it was too good to be true. She's not permanent at this location. She works at the Upland store and came to help out. She was sweet and helpful. I think the place has the utmost respect for there customers. Candice was the beautiful woman who helped me there and was very nice and very respectful. There was an issue with one of the beds I was going to be in and she made it right. I highly recommend this location for your tanning needs. 10 stars if I could do that.

I got a spray tan here and it came out so spotchy. I was hoping to rinse it off for it to look nice but it looks so freckley and terrible. U know it's bad when a guy points it out too I always get the same level 4 bronze with moisturizer. This was my first time at this location and it does not look good.
Maybe the nozzles weren't clean or product was low. It is freckley like that all over. Idk I've done this many times and it's never happened. Not thrilled

Hello, I went to the location at hampden and Cherokee yesterday and received horrible customer service. I had never been in before and was excited about getting a membership, however the young blonde at the counter seemed clueless and didn't explain the monthly plans or the beds or anything she didn't seem to care at all. She wasn't welcoming, not smiling seemed annoyed.Then after I signed up for a monthly membership she then tells me to go to bed 13....I'm walking around looking for it so I go back up front and ask where bed 13 is and she doesn't know..really? I went to the #AttheBeach store on Hampden near Chase Bank. I loved the kind staff & cleanliness of #tanning beds/salon.
I especially loved the manager who assisted me, she truly cared about me as a client & what I actually needed & what I wanted, and did her absolute best to help me to ensure that my #tanning Goal's were met while doing it safely. I've been to other places that didn't seem to care for there clients happiness & service as much as the staff in this particular #tanningSalon does...The Staff was very professional, friendly & went above & beyond for me...

I just signed up for this place over a month ago and they've been out of dark spray tan solution since I signed up. Today I drove there and they were out of spray tan solution all together so I couldn't tan at all. I don't understand if this is a distributor error or someone isn't ordering inventory accordingly. Did a walk in to begin a membership on a tanning bed. I could have went online to do so, but I knew I could ask more questions at the storefront. What I didn't expect was a positive bag of knowledge with tanning.
Courtney, helped me with exceptional intelligence. She knew the science behind tanning, which I had no idea with, life is a learning lesson and that day she definitely taught me some knowledge.
She was very kind, helpful and had GREAT energy. This is what I exactly look for when I choose a tanning salon.

Their staff as been super helpful and I really liked all the girls at the front desk, but I never realized how dirty their tanning beds are, and honestly I feel stupid for not noticing before.
Also after reading about charging people during the pandemic I'm COMPELLED to leave a TRUTHFUL review.
They charged me during the beginning of the pandemic even though ALL tanning businesses were closed. They never sent me an email when they reopened

I have cancelled my subscription " over the phone " as they assured me it would be cancelled. They also stated that the regular policy was to visit "in person" if I wanted to cancel my membership, however they were able to cancel memberships over the phone due to the pandemic.
My credit card continues to be charged even though they specifically told me it was canceled.
Sadly, their employees agree with how poorly the business is being managed and that they have had

I did not have a good experience at the Hampden location. After going in for only 2 spray tans, I told the woman working that I wanted to cancel my membership because that was all I needed. She said she had canceled it, then the next month I saw I had been charged the monthly fee for the membership. I called both the store and corporate, and neither were able to provide me a refund because they said I needed to sign the contract to have my membership canceled - but the woman working at the time never said anything about signing a contract to complete the cancellation. So I ended up being charged

BEWARE!!!!! This place deserves 0 stars for the employees customer service and 1 star for cleanliness. I mean honestly with Covid you guys are not even cleaning the beds correctly and still charge people who can't pay to come in so why can't the staff clean properly? I see fingerprints all over the handles every time and left over lotions and hair. Pure laziness and the staff can care less about helping customers. I mean maybe if this company increased their salary a little bit they would help the customers a little more and make The people that essentially keep you in business feel appreciated

I have not been to a tanning salon in quite awhile, and I must say my experience today was amazing. I had no idea where to start and wanted to get a good tan before going on vacation. Melissa and Ron were awesome and were very helpful in advising which route I should take and which tanning beds would provide the best results. They were both very knowledgeable about the products at the store. I am overly satisfied with my results! Thanks, Melissa and Ron!
