Services
Chicot Irrigation was founded in Lake Village, Arkansas in 1954, and today remains a family-owned business. While our technology is cutting-edge, our service ethic is tried and true. Our commitment to you is to work as hard as you do to ensure your crops are healthy. Nine years after the company began, James O. McDonald went to work as a young man for the original owners.
Chicot Irrigation got its start by drilling wells for all sorts of uses. It is the root from which the rest of our business has grown. We are able to drill a cleaner, more efficient well than many other companies because we use a Reverse Circulation method. This method eliminates the need for bentonite drilling mud, resulting in a more productive, efficient irrigation well.
Underground pipelines are the most common means of distributing water from irrigation wells and relift pumps to individual fields for crop use. Chicot Irrigation is one of the largest installers of underground pipelines in the Delta. Installing PIP pipe sizes from 8" - 24" and with the capability to operate three full trenching crews, no job is too big or too small.
Pumps come in a variety of types for a multitude of purposes. We sell and service line shaft turbine pumps and submersibles for pumping ground water to your crops. We also design and custom build surface water relift pumping systems in rivers, bayous, and reservoirs all over the Delta. Our full machine shop allows us to customize pumps to just about any application a farmer might need.
Chicot Irrigation is proud to be an authorized Valley Center Pivots dealer. Valley offers the highest quality equipment on the market and has an unparalleled standard of quality and technological advancement. Both Valley and Chicot Irrigation are committed to giving customers the best value for their dollars by providing superior equipment and exceptional service at fair prices.
