I love the challenge of working with people who are still not living up to their potential after years of sincere effort to heal and to change their lives. When we find what's needed and things begin to change, I get excited! That's what I live for as a therapist.

I combine compassionate listening with the latest techniques for transforming lives, techniques that find and eliminate the traumas and subconscious early learnings that affect the way we live our lives.D. is in psychology from U.C., Berkeley, and I am licensed as a clinical psychologist to practice psychotherapy in New Mexico (0965) and California (PSY4223).

I had nowhere else to turn, and confidentiality meant everything to me as this is a small community. I was referred to Dr. Don. He’s my angel. He helped me get through trauma that was causing illness, and taught me survival tools that have changed my life for the better. I learned to recognize and heal my inner-child, how to nurture myself by forgiving with love and compassion, through guided sessions. Don will teach you! I know and understand how to navigate my life better. Through his help and therapy style I am happy. My marriage has thrived. I’ve learned how to help assist my elderly parents

Don Flory changed my life. I had been on a trajectory of living in old narratives, diving into destructive relationships--confused about why they crashed and burned. With patience, compassion, creativity, intelligence and humor (the last bit was essential as far as I'm concerned) he helped me find my way out and live in an increasingly healthy, happy way. My life has been profoundly better because of him.

At the risk of creating false expectations for others, let me say that Dr. Flory transformed the life of my spouse. For years she struggled with symptoms of depression and anxiety. Numerous attempts to treat her with various therapies, medications, and hospitalizations did help us manage, but her baseline condition never resolved. Greater than 10 treating psychiatrists and also probably that many psychologists. Neither of us really had hope of something akin to a cure, but we were fortunate enough to encounter Dr. Flory. We cannot thank you enough, truly. We hope you are well and happy!

I found Don Flory to be a gifted, wise, and compassionate counselor when I worked with him in Berkeley, CA in the 1980's. So glad I discovered he is still doing his fine work in Taos. I now live in Pennsylvania and enjoy feeling appreciation for all those who have contributed to my successful and serene life.
