If I could give 100 stars I would!!! My wedding dress was made in 1959, and the lace is very fragile. I knew I was taking a huge risk by having it altered but I wanted it to fit *just right*. I also needed the sleeves removed, a bustle added, and several missing pearls replaced.

I found my new tailor! I found this business on Yelp and went in on a Wednesday. The staff was sooooo nice. They were empty when I walked in, but it was a revolving door after that, and the main tailor was patient the entire time. There is an area to try dresses on(it was a little odd when a man was changing in the one next to me, and I needed help zipping the dress so I walked out to see the staff and he walked out and literally stood there next to me instead of going back to the front the entire time she pinned it, but that is not a reflection of the shop AT ALL just know there are shared spaces

I first went to the Sewing Room in 2019 to get two bridesmaids dresses hemmed. I had such a positive experience with them that when it came time to get alterations done for my own wedding dress this year, I knew I had to return. As anyone would be, I was nervous about alterations because it's such a large investment that you make in your dress. I could not be more pleased with the process. The sewing room was able to get my bridesmaid dress fixed up within a week before the wedding. Only $10 for express tailoring and the dress was done somewhat how I wanted. Unfortunately, there were a lot of extra thread hanging about where they stitched it and I had to go home and dissect some other unexplained stitches that were seemingly placed randomly. Overall the dress was how I wanted it to be but it just seemed a little unfinished of sorts. I will most likely be going here again but I'll be paying closer attention to the result before I leave. Very friendly staff.

From start to finish all of the ladies blew me away. I walked in on a whim and stressed. Knowing I was running short on time and my dress wasn’t going to be easy. Without an appointment they got me in within 20 min (they were not slow at all btw) and immediately identified the needs of the dress and gave a timeline of today. Today is here and my dress is on time and stunning. It’s finally fit for me. My wedding is in 10 days, I’ll post pics then. Don’t hesitate coming here, you won’t be disappointed!

I took my wedding dress here to be altered. I made two more appointments after the first fitting. Between the first and the second was a month and a half. When I showed for the second, my dress was crumpled up in the bottom of my dress bag. When I held it up I realized the only alteration that had been made was on the straps. There are two layers to the dress, the outer has lace and bead work and the inside is a lining that is not sewed to the outside lace part.The hips on the outside lining needed to be taken in and she had not done that nor taken the length up. They said my dress was not hanging

These ladies are amazing! I leave for a wedding tomorrow and Men's Warehouse completely dropped the ball and missed their deadline to line my pants for a wedding. I gave them 20 days, but apparently that wasn't enough time. After a minor panic attack, the ladies at The Sewing Room dropped everything and got the job done in less then 5 hours! If you have any type of tailoring needs, avoid the big shops and bring it to The Sewing Room. You will not be disappointed! Thanks again!

Top notch alterations! I had my wedding dress altered here and it was perfect! I even had to take it back a few days before the wedding for some last minute fixes and they got them done in 2 days for me. We had my son's suit and a bridesmaid dress altered here too. Staff was not friendly or welcoming at all when I walked in to get my zip up.
On top of that, I paid 2x to have the zipper fixed then I did for the actual sweater which I would've been ok doing if the quality of the zipper was worth what I paid for. It is so hard to zip up and the zipper itself is just cheap.

This is a great place!!! I swear by it & they are my go to for any and all sewing/tailoring. The women are very kind, take pride in their work & helpful to make sure they understand what you want to make it happen in the best way!
I bought a pretty expensive comforter from Macy’s that ended up falling apart after washing it. I love it so much I thought to turn it into a duvet cover.
I called a few places around to get some prices & all wanted to charge close to $200 dollars.
Then I called The Sewing Room & they gave me a very reason price! They did a FANTASTIC job! Better than I even expected

Ruby is AMAZING!! I didn’t think I would be able to get my wedding dress altered in time when we decided to go forward with our small wedding last minute but Ruby assured me she would get it done and she sure did! I am super short so she had to take a ton off the bottom and my dress has tons of details, but she was able to keep every bit of detail-I couldn’t believe it. The bustle was perfect and so unique and held all night. Ruby was kind, professional and attentive through the whole process and I am so lucky to have been able to work with her for something this special and big! I recommend

I had bought a wedding dress from a sample sale that needed a lot of work to fit my body. The gals at the sewing room did an amazing job and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Awesome work and fast! I needed a blouse hemmed and fast for a trip. It had a hem line that was lower as the torso and shorter in the back. They were able to hem it to the length i wanted and keep the same beautiful shape!! I got it back the next day, and it was under $25 which is such a steal! This place is a gem :)

The talented staff at the seeing room make you feel welcome and are experts in their craft! From a basic hem to altering a jacket that was extremely complicated to take in. The place was a little hard to find at first, so be on the lookout as this is a small shop running out of the back side of an otherwise normal-looking residence.
My first (and only, so far) encounter stemmed from my need to get a blown out seam on a leather jacket repaired. When I walked in on a Wednesday (or Thursday maybe) afternoon, I was promptly greeted and the jacket was inspected, and I was quoted a VERY reasonable price for the seam repair. She was very obliging regarding my 2-day turnaround request as well.
The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because I got the call that

I came in to get my favorite work jeans patched up. They said it was no problem, even though the holes were rather big and said it would cost $20 (pricey but worth it if they do a good job). I paid for it when I dropped the jeans off and they told me it would be about 2+ weeks because it's prom season (totally forgot). Four days later they called to say my jeans were ready, which really surprised me. I thought that perhaps a seam could be let out enough to help a little but Ruby took one look and explained what she needed to do and it was not as simple as I thought.
Much to my disbelief she promised it by Friday
