Xcel Sports Medicine is a privately owned and operated physical therapy clinic dedicated to the treatment of athletic and orthopedic injuries and problems, as well as the pursuit of wellness and fitness. We welcome you to call or visit our facilities and browse our website to explore the variety of services we have to offer.
Services
Our goal in the treatment of our patients is to restore them to their optimal state in the shortest time possible. We aim to improve our patients' quality of life and, if possible, prevent a recurrence of the issues that brought them to us initially.

Our primary aim is to assist with tissue repair and alleviate discomfort, gradually adding therapeutic activities as tolerated, taking care not to over challenge the affected area and cause aggravation.Therapeutic activities are a very important part of regaining functional strength, however, we feel that attempting to strengthen a painful area is not constructive.
We employ a variety of different approaches, not commonly used together in the United States. For example, the bulk of our therapy is based on the use of the therapists' hands to improve soft tissue dysfunction, reconfigure scar or fibrous tissue and improve joint range of motion using various manual therapy techniques, such as: Maitland, Kaltenborn, Cyriax, McKenzie, and the dry needling proponents of Travell and Baldry.
It is known that our clientele enjoys the ever-changing artwork painting all three of our Xcel reception areas. Our photos range from playful elephants in a watering bath to colorful natives weaving straw baskets outside of their homes. However a less-known story, yet just as colorful, is held by the woman behind the camera.
As a full-service physical therapy facility, Xcel provides care to individuals of all ages, and has three Dayton area locations to service you. With a special interest in sports, Xcel serves a variety of athletes from the professional, collegiate, and high school, to the youth, occasional, weekend warrior or senior participant.
Our goal is early, rapid return to optimal function for a variety of different conditions such as rotator cuff repair, meniscus repair, hip arthroscopy, ACL repair and foot/ankle surgeries to name a few. Rotator Cuff Tendonitis and Repair - 4 small muscles at the shoulder which stabilize the ball in the shoulder socket.

My experience with Beavercreek XCel has been excellent. They are highly professional and personable, too. Christian, DPT, just exudes knowledge and he and Scott (who also knows his stuff), PTA, both do an outstanding job driving you to your baseline/goal. I am not familiar with this area of medicine, so I consider them magicians. I highly recommend and have already done so!

Great treatment so far. I was given sole attention my first visit for over an hour. The physical therapist and his assistants are nice. He is extremely educated and thorough. I thought I had tennis elbow but after his tests, he realized it was a tricep issue. Very grateful. Out of pocket price for first visit is $140 for 90 minutes and $70 for follow up appointments which are 60 minutes.
Update 4/22/19: I was misdiagnosed. I advise you to go to an orthopedic before PT. The exercises from the misdiagnosis exacerbated my nerve pain. I went to an orthopedic last week and they told me what's wrong

I've been very pleased with the PT provided by Greg Mackenzie and Scott at the Beavercreek office. The office runs on time, and all staff are pleasant. During the first few visits, they ensure you know the process and a treatment plan for targeting the issue. The follow-up visits adhere to the plan. They're always available for questions. I didn't feel rushed when I had questions at the end of each session. Xcel worked with my insurance and provided clear. concise information about their billing. I highly recommend them. Although I am at the end of treatment, I will return if needed without hesitation

Amazing physical therapy experience! I had never had to go to PT before so I was a little nervous about it, but everyone here made me feel very welcomed and put me at ease. All the staff members, especially Dr. Lorenzo, were very personable and fun to work with and they helped me get back into running within a few weeks. I found the hands-on therapy to be very beneficial and I'd definitely recommend them to my friends. Thank you for the awesome experience, Xcel Sports Medicine!

I'm glad I found this place. They do a great job! I shattered my collar bone (clavicle) I had surgery and a Titanium plate put in. Between the physical therapy here and massage therapy (not here) I have almost the strength and range of motion I had before the accident.
