The Area Community Credit Union has a rich heritage in the Greater Grand Forks area. We started as a Federally Charted Credit Union in 1958. Initially, we were a Credit Union solely for the Grand Forks Public School employees. Over the years we have steadily grown along with the community.
The Grand Forks Herald Credit Union merged with ACCU on April first, 1997 and we became a Community Chartered Credit Union, welcoming anyone (including all family members) living or working within a fifty mile radius of Grand Forks to become a member and to utilize the services of ACCU.Today we have approximately $20 million in assets, serving over 2,500 customers.
