Services
Care and education of our youngest members of our River City Early Learning Center family is vital. This early education program is the foundation for all other programs. We provide a warm nurturing environment with an assortment of rotated activities and toys to stimulate the children to learn and grow.
First and foremost, I would like to thank you for taking the time to get to know all of us. I have been in the Early Childhood Field for over 15 years and it is a field I am passionate about. In general, I am passionate about families and helping them in different realms. I truly enjoy the wonder and innate curiosity children have and I love seeing them grow!
Invite grandparents, nannies, and friends - with control over what they can do and see on brightwheel. Note that each Contact Type has a different level of access to a student's profile and brightwheel features. Can message the school, and receive messages in an inbox/sent box that is separate from the Parent's.

I have one daughter that have gone to River City and one that is still there. My daughter who is now in Kinder still talks about how much she misses it and how she wishes she could go back. She is excelling in Kinder and it has so much to do with how prepared she was thanks to RC. My other daughter is in their preschool program and everyday can't wait to go. She absolutely LOVES going to school every day! Many times on the weekend she is disappointed that she doesn't get to see her teacher and friends that day and is excited when Monday rolls around and she gets to go back to preschool

I'm not one to typically leave reviews, but I think families deserve to know. I gave River City 1 star for several reasons. The most important reason being the lack of education and kinder readiness there is. My daughter attended River City for several years until I pulled her out. She began Kindergarten several months later, and it's very clear that she has not learned much at RC. As a single mother working full time and going to school I was really counting on day care to help me prepare my daughter for kindergarten. They did not do this. Part of their daily curriculum is to watch

We started our son with River City ELC and let me tell you... we are oh so grateful. We're both going to be working full-time and considered essential workers so having child care during this time is super helpful! This is our first child so I can be the typical paranoid parent and the teachers at this school reassure me that everything is fine. I love this center! The staff care so much about the children and watch over them as their own. The facility is HIGE and always clean! The center always has great toys and learning opportunities for children. The owners are very invested in the community and have donated so much to better the Elk Grove/Sacramento area and have even contributed to child care centers in other countries. I highly recommend!

My daughter has been attending River City since last year and started out in the Whales Room and now she's in the toddler room (Barnyard). We have been so pleased with the school's patience, compassion for their children, and their commitment to the parents. The teachers have been wonderful, notably Patty, Susan, Samantha, Mayra, and Kathy, as well as many others who stop and say hello to Naomi. I'm glad the school is able to expand and grow as they provide great loving care to my child. Jessica & Rebecca (director and assistant) know everyone by name and is super personable

What an amazing school and organization! The staff are dedicated to providing the best care to all the kids. My children and I have attended their wonderful events on several occasions. I had switched my toddler over here after being at another daycare. And I loved it so much. The Staff, The owner and the atmosphere is awesome. Jessica the owner is amazing as well. Any time I emailed her, she is quick to respond. And She is super friendly. They do a lot of activities and events for the little ones. You're actually getting your moneys worth. Just take a tour over and talk to the staff. You'll love it. I just moved away from Elk Grove but I had to let people know how my experience was. I had my little one at KinderCare and when I switched I really felt like they cared

When searching for a child care center we wanted a place that would be safe, educational. We found what we were looking for and more with River city early learning center. Our daughter is being cared for by people that truly care about her and want to see her succeed in life. We love to hear daily about the things that she is experiencing and learning. We appreciate that the teachers are actually teaching and not just "watching" her. Our daughter loves her teachers dearly and always talks about how they are her best friends. Each morning we are met with a welcoming smile from the staff

I had really high expectations for this place because of all the wonderful things I've heard. I looked at several other places to send my four year old for preschool and right away, I felt very comfortable with the staff at this facility and was so excited to send him here. Rebecca and Jessica are the sweetest ever and my 1 star review really is only for the faculty member my son was being taken care of by. Unfortunately, there was an incident in the classroom and my son fell and hit the back of his head causing a pretty large bump to develop. An incident report was not filed at that time

We switched our son to come this daycare/preschool about three weeks ago and he is always super excited to go, never complains or says he wants to stay home. The staff here is amazing and like family to him already, he had to transition classes about a week in because of his age and doesn't complain at all. They have such great activities for the kids and work really well with the parents too. True kind hearted people that genuinely care about your children!!

This place is hands down amazing. It is the place i chose to send my 1 year old for car when i returned to work and they made the transition for me very easy and comforting. The classrooms are set so they are close in age with others which is really nice and they have an amazing curriculum to teach them things. Such as sign language and some spanish.

My children have went here for two years I can honestly say the director is amazing!! Jessica is very understanding and probably one of the best directors I have met. She is very strict at times but also if you are willing to work thru issues if your child is having or strong willed she will go above and beyond. As any daycare there are some teachers that come and go or do not turn out to be a right fit I have only seen a few teachers go which is good for stability. Mrs. Monique is amazing for toddles, ms. Miryssa is awesome also. I have been to about 5 different daycare providers and this one

ENTIRE staff is amazing. Fun, friendly, and professional attitudes. My 1 yo and 2 yo started have been attending for 6 months now and they LOVE it. Kids stay Busy, the classes are organized, and clean. Having raised my older girls, 8 and 9 as a SAHM, it was VERY hard for me to leave the little ones since going back to work full time. Not only were all the teachers supportive of my kids, but encouraging and loving towards me too! The owners are husband and wife working as a team with AN EXCEPTIONAL TEAM AS WELL. Everyone LOVES to work there and it shows.

This school is definitely not worth the money that they are charging parents. First of all the curriculum is not half as good as they say it is. They say the kids learn Spanish which is a complete lie! They seem a little short staffed and have teachers jumping around from class to class to barely get by. Anytime I asked my son what he did he said they played outside and maybe did some arts and crafts. To top it all off my son said he got hit by a teacher after going there for a couple of months, and the school isn't even taking it serious. It's been weeks and still no answers. They have cameras

My son was 8 weeks old when I had to go back to work, I was heartbroken. The staff at Phoenix is absolutely amazing! I completely trust them with my baby and know that he's in such good hands! The way they hold, love and snuggle him, even when they don't realize I'm in the building and watching, makes me so incredibly happy. Ms. Tina and Ms. Rosie are gems in the infant room! When my baby isn't in my arms, being in theirs is the next best thing!
