Darryl Harrison began Harrison Tax Services Inc in 1972 after several years of working for another accountant here in Colorado Springs. His goal now is the same it was then - to provide the necessary tax services to small businesses and individuals alike. His philosophy has always been that we should all pay our required taxes, but not one penny more.
Having Harrison do your taxes is a delight - hard to imagine for ssuch an undesirable duty! They will always do mine. Harrison Tax Service has been figuring out my taxes (that includes all the constant twists, turns, flips, churns and round-about-faces that the IRS enforces via the laws that initiate the changes) for over 20 plus years now, w/out a snafu one.

Best tax prep experience EVER and I'm 60 so i have been there! Kirk did my 2020 in a professional and timely manner. Additionally his dog and the off tax topics he allowed were straight up enjoyable. The entire staff and associates are as kind and effective as you will ever experience. The Harrison environment allowed for the process to be enjoyable and rewarding.

This Complaint is on a worker here name Kirk Harrison. My husband got off the phone with Kirk around 11:00am 4/24/20 checking on the status of his taxes that Darryl filed for me and Kirk was very rude, impatient, and unnecessarily Sarcastic. Kirk continued to cut him off while I was speaking and Kirk even raised his voice at him just because he was checking on our taxes. Kirk makes it hard for customers to build a trusting relationship with him and this tax office. I’m very disappointed and dissatisfied as a customer because of Kirk’s nasty attitude. This is the first time I've actually used any third party for my taxes, but as my finances are getting more complicated, I find that I'd rather pay a professional to do them. Harrison Tax Services have done our tax filings for many years. They have always done excellent work. They know the tax laws for my particular profession and keep up with the changes in the law. They are professional in every way and have always gone the extra mile for us. When we were audited, they went with us to the audit and coached us on how to respond to the auditor. Harrison Tax Services did an excellent job on our multi-state taxes. Our taxes were done in record time, for a reasonable cost. While I have had a business relationship with Kirk Harrison for years, this was the first year we used them for our taxes. Although I love supporting local businesses and small companies, I just can't recommend this one. The office staff and tax prep team are nice, and their prices are lower than big box tax prep companies...
However, they are disorganized and incredibly slow in responding to phone calls and emails, it is difficult to get an appointment because no one answers the phone and the company is located in an inconvenient and rather sketchy neighborhood.
