Jabo's Ace Hardware is a locally owned and operated business by Bill & Renae Jablonowski. Bill started working at a premier hardware store, Elliott's Ace Hardware, in West Allis, WI in 1984 when he was in high school. Bill worked there through college and upon graduation followed his nose, applied and was subsequently hired by Ace Hardware Corporation in Oak Brook, IL. Bill & Renae and our first child Alyssa made the move to Illinois in 1989.

I brought my 83 year old mother here so that she could do her Christmas shopping. We had gone thru most of the store and where about to proceed to cash out. She stopped and commented on a star on a tree. Next thing I know there is a display falling to the floor. I looked up and a couple of ladies were moving away and walked out the door. My mother thought she had done something and was completely embarrassed and offered to pay for the damage. She had no idea how it happened but the next thing I know a lady comes over to us and let's us know that the store manager wants to talk to her at the

I have never been more embarrassed on how we were treated at this location. My Husband had a contractor account and another location the cashier(CARRIE) here flat out told him he could not use it at this location and refused to help him in any way. For no reason at all she was downright rude. If I could give it a zero I would. I would never recommend this location GO to Carrolton!!

I drove 35 minutes to this location because I needed to get lights to finish up an install. I usually go to the Carrolton location because the people there are so helpful. CARRIE WOULD NOT HONOR MY CONTRACTOR DISCOUNT. She even refused to help set one up at this location for me because "it would take too much time" I usually don't even take the time to review but this made me furious. If you can avoid interaction with CARRIE please do! She simply did not want to help. I will NEVER return to this location and will continue to visit the Carrolton store.

I am not a fan of big box stores. No cashiers. They think they're doing you a favor by selling. So I needed two screws. I had to hang something on Hardiboard. Twist drills won't touch it. So I went ten miles out of my way. Walked in. A guy my age greeted me. Told him what I needed. We walked to the back of the store. He pointed to some screws. Said "This what you need." I grabbed four. Got to the cashier, no line. She asked "How much are they?" I said "Twenty eight cents each." Kaching! I was gone! Love this place.

Such a fantastic hardware store! Great customer service! Friendly staff and has a little bit of everything like old school hardware stores are known for! Cute little Knick-knacks, high end body lotions, cute t's & well curated gift items! Such a fun place if you go for actual hardware, plan on extra time to check out everything!

A US Post Office inside, Cove Gifts, great service: screen repair, small engine parts and service, online ordering with curbside pickup available, they can sharpen anything, small electric items repair and parts, an outdoor garden, grilling supplies are perfection, pool and RV items and Live Chickens! Nothing else compares, because they still maintain the small town atmosphere and service that we all want!

Live in Arlington and called looking for an above ground pool they had on their website. I asked if they had this one in stock, was placed on hold and she came back to inform me they did. I asked her if they could possibly hold it for me as I was in Arlington and had to drive over. She was very kind, said sure and even took my name and phone number. Packed up my hubby, grabbed our face masks and off we go. 30 minutes later we arrive to find a line in front due to social distancing, ok, no problem. We stand in line for about 20 minutes waiting our turn then are allowed into the store. I ask

One of The Best Places to Shop. Not your average Hardware store. I think you will enjoy it's uniqueness and the people serving you. They have a High End Gift area that's growing. It's pet friendly and has chickens. Your little kids will love it. They have all your cleaning products including High End cleaning products. Paper towel, TP. etc. They have a Post office with quick friendly Service! This store has so much more!

Manager should be fired! I went in to make a purchase at 7:30pm on Monday night July 22nd. The item I wanted seemed like a good price so I proceeded to the counter to make the purchase. The item rang up 4 times higher on the price. I kindly let them know this was incorrect and it is marked different on the shelf with the rest of them. They said they would check on it, but instead they pulled the stickers off the shelf and re-priced them. Then they lied to us and said it is marked correctly on the shelf and essentially called us liars. It was ridiculous. Even if there is a pricing mistake

I shop here every week, and get great service from most of the employees. However, there is one gentleman that I avoid - and today he reiterated why. Had me wait (without saying anything...he just walked away to go in the back as I was standing at the back counter). I asked if they had 2 additional pipes, and he said no. I asked if he could check the other store and he said no - they are all Independently owned and operated.
Off to Home Depot, which is what I didn't want to do.

Ok - so I DO like this place...charming neighborhood locale, everything a hardware store should stock and more, mostly helpful floor salespeople...so there are good things and because of that we spend a lot of disposable income there vs. the bland, corporate offerings from Lowes or Home Depot. I am giving a low rating because of a recent negative experience related to a very simple job (sharpening mower blades) that was completely botched and unfortunately illustrated the inefficiency of their operation. I will go there again for items and assistance, but If there were other competitive hardware

We went to Jabo's when decided to paint some of our rooms. Benjamin Moore paint drew us in and the excellent customer service earned our business. The team took a lot of time explaining the differences in paint options, painting equipment, and even recommending techniques for us! It was fantastic.
We have and will go again - it's a completely different experience from the bigger shops.

The outside plant/fountain center is pretty cool. I can easily imagine spending a few hours there just enjoying the shrubbery and peaceful settings.
Prices here are reasonable and if not sometimes better than Lowe's and Home Depot. I came here to purchase weed n feed and saved a few dollars. Same with the air filters here. The ACE brand is just as good as the name brands.

This is my new local Ace. It's actually a little further than the closest big box hardware store, but it still gets my business primarily for all those yellow pull-out drawers filled with doo-hickeys, thing-a-ma-jigs, and what-do-you-call-its. If you need an odd part, chances are you will find it here
