Services
Incorporated in 1976, Orcas Center is Orcas Island's performing arts and community center; providing Islanders with artistic and cultural experiences that feed their hearts, souls and minds. Our 10,000 square foot facility is a beautiful, comfortable, safe space in which to make art, gather with friends new and old, and further the sense of community that is so vital and unique to Orcas Island.
Reporting live on an unfolding crisis, Frank in the Studio is aided by his team of field reporters: John in the Field, Constance at the Home, and Michael, the Legal Advisor. As the impending event approaches and chaos builds, the broadcasters reveal themselves to be all too human.

In an era during which many have come to question the veracity of the news media, Will Eno's Tragedy: A Tragedy hilariously transcends fact-in-fiction in search of universal truths about the world we live in.There's a party on the stage of the Weismann Theatre. Tomorrow the iconic building will be demolished.
Thinking about how to make a gift to your favorite charity while gaining valuable tax benefits takes careful consideration. It's never too early to begin planning your charitable gifts. For example, making a gift of appreciated stock can help you avoid capital gains taxes.

Gifting a valuable asset, such as a home, while retaining use of or income from it during your lifetime, provides immediate tax benefits to you and reduces tax burden for your heirs.Making a bequest in your will leaves a legacy your community will benefit from for years to come. Any estate planning should be made with the assistance of your financial advisor.
As a community-based arts and cultural center, Orcas Center is dependent upon the community to do what we do. Volunteers, members and individual and business donors all help to keep this treasured center thriving. Orcas Center receives generous support from a variety of sources.

This support is critical to close the gap between ticket sales and the total costs of our programming and operations, like maintaining our beautiful facilities, providing the Arts Education Program in the schools, and bringing a diversity of local and visiting talent for our enjoyment and enrichment. There are a number of ways to get involved at Orcas Center.
Orcas Center provides valuable brand visibility and recognition to our Business Sponsors. We believe a Business Sponsorship is a strategic collaboration. We have created a comprehensive marketing program that transfers your financial support into an acknowledged and valuable investment for your business.

So disappointed. Lived here 45 years but no shot here for me. I made the mistake of taking advantage of a first shot off island. Now, I am assured that I will not get the second shot on Orcas. I must hope I can make it to the mainland on the right day and time....when whomever has it and will let me.
Disappointing and a little scary.

Classic auditorium that provides the arts & culture. My daughter has taken multiple dance classes here. Great rotating art on the walls. Very popular for locals who want to get out to see a play.

What a fantastic venue. We saw an amazing show called "Don't Call It A Riot", and it was incredible. I do wish they had water for sale though. I know everyone was enjoying the wine and beer for sale, but I don't drink and would have easily payed 5 dollars for a bottle of water, just so I wouldn't have to drink out of the water fountain. Still, a small gripe, compared to the incredibly memorable experience.

We saw 2 films at the Orcas center when they were joint hosting the Orcas Island Film festival. We have also seen several art shows at the Orcas Center one of which ended with the Orcas Center negotiating a purchase of a piece from the show. We have always been impressed with the professional and welcoming attitudes of the staff.

Beautiful venue. Not a bad seat in the house. Great productions all year round. Look out for Northwest Ballet Theater's 'Dracula' coming November 1st, 2013.
