Services
With Lisa's artistry and passion for food, and her husband Kevin's passion for music, it was only natural that they became collaborators-and from that, The Cook and Drummer was born. Lisa is a graduate of the Cordon Bleu in Paris and the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. She has managed some of the nation's top restaurants and has 18 years of experience as an executive chef and caterer.
Salad of butter lettuce with cucumber, chvre, watermelon radish, & creamy dill vinaigrette. Please note, these options are available only as additions to your dinner service, and some, as noted, require a dedicated staff-member. Each of our bars and grazing tables include disposable bamboo plates and cocktail napkins.
A seamlessly-executed, chef-prepared meal for your party, get-together, or meeting is more attainable than you think. These menus are convenient to order, and are delivered to your home or workplace with the details already taken care of. Simply choose your preferred menu and and any desired extras.
Ab Menon is a guitarist based in Oakland, CA. He is experienced with the standard jazz repertoire as well as pop, rock, and contemporary music. Previously Ab has performed with such groups as Jadedesire, Trio Nebuli, Soup Sandwich, and The Dixie Giants at events like The Philadelphia Folk Festival, The Strawberry Music Festival, and The Cotati Jazz Festival.

Lisa and her team did a fabulous job for our daughter's wedding this past weekend. The food was amazing! We received so many compliments. It's not easy preparing roasted salmon to remain as fresh, moist and flavorful for almost 100 guests. The staff was very attentive and kept our glasses filled and I know some people went back for seconds. I missed getting a second helping of Potatoes Dauphinois - a bit hit! I'm still waiting on more photos but did get some dessert shots from a friend. We were beyond pleased with the service and quality of the food. Everything was perfect!

We just had our wedding in Sebastopol and Lisa and her team were truly amazing. The food was the best and their professionalism and ability to carry out or vision for the evening was impeccable. We would highly recommend using them for your catering events but also specifically for your wedding day. Her team (Captain Kristin and the rest) worked behind the scenes effortlessly and it just was a great experience for everyone including all of our guests. I can't say enough how much we loved our food and how much our guests raved about it as well.

Had a really great experience with Kevin, serving a meal for a birthday dinner with 16 people. Lots of great comments on the food, and his setup and prep was great. We had the California menu and there was no bad dish.
I'd read other reviews that had issue with the food not being fully prepared, so I discussed this with Kevin and we did need to pay an additional fee for setup - totall worth it.

The Cook and The Drummer are phenomenal-- we recently had them cater our wedding of 110 guests and could not be happier with our choice! We have not stopped receiving compliments about the food! The cook and the drummer is an amazing, extremely professional, well organized and resourceful catering company. They catered a 100+ event, connected me with local vendors such as florist and musicians; they know how to adjust to budget constraints at the same time they have a vision to make your event as impactful and amazing as you want it to be. Also their staff is very well trained. I highly recommend working with them. Our family celebration ended up exceeding our expectations. And the food was delicious!
