Custom orthotics are medical devices prescribed by a foot and ankle surgeon. These shoe inserts, which support and align the foot and lower extremities, are formed by making a plaster mold of the foot. With a diabetic foot, a wound as small as a blister from wearing a shoe that's too tight can cause a lot of damage.
Diabetes decreases blood flow, so injuries are slow to heal. Plantar fasciitis (or heel pain) is commonly traced to an inflammation on the bottom of the foot. Our practice can evaluate arch pain, and may prescribe customized shoe inserts called orthoses to help alleviate the pain. The podiatry professionals at Crestwood Foot Clinic are pleased to welcome you to our practice.

Dr. Jackson was drawn to podiatric medicine due to childhood foot problems that required surgical treatment at 10 years of age. After podiatric medical school and surgical residency she returned to North Little Rock as the first female podiatrist in Arkansas. She established the JFK Foot Clinic in 1984 which became the Crestwood Foot Clinic after moving to the Crestwood Professional Building in 1993.
There is a $25.00 charge for filling out any paperwork required for time off or return to work. Dr. Jackson will only include her professional medical opinion pertaining to each patient individualized circumstance. For any additional information desired such as using a particular template required by the receiving party will include an additional $10.00.
