We spent Thanksgiving here as they were the last available campground we could book. We were a little worried when we booked the spot because it did not have a lot of information (it seemed like an overflow spot). It actually turned out to be a very spacious field which gave us plenty of space to set up. We really enjoyed the beauty of the place. Our niece was especially fond of the ponies. The only challenge is that the roads are narrow and it is challenging to find the road to turn on if your GPS is slow to tell you to turn soon 😝

Where can I start, my family and I truly enjoyed our stay and loved everything about it. We stayed 3 nights and booking the stay was a pleasant experience and Debs was very kind and courteous from the beginning to the end of the our stay. Cabins are spacious and clean and kitchens are stocked with utensils to use for cooking and eating. The camp site is beautiful with all the the trees and nature. We saw deers on the walk trails, the fishing dock was nice, the farm animals are cool to feed, the pool was refreshing, the rec. hall was full of dvd and books to burrow for the cabins, kids enjoyed riding

We just finished our second trip here and enjoyed it again. We have a couple of younger children and it's nice and relaxing here. Yes, there are some strange year-round sites, but the owners are wonderful. The pool is always clean and relaxing. It is off the beaten path so no crazy traffic. The animals are fun to feed and they have cute activities for all ages. It's not fancy, but it's great for a quick getaway.

After spending a weekend at this campground, I had to write. The owner, Deb, was amazing. Very accommodating. We were part of a large group and she went out of her way to make everyone comfortable. I looked in at the cabins and was blown away. They were clean and cute, with the amenities of home. I will definitely come back and have told my friends to check it out.

Lake in the Forest is a very attractive RV park with both RV parking and a bunch of cabins. The cabins are rustic and comfortable in a really pretty way. They resemble the Tiny House trend you read so much about in Miami; they are tiny and they are houses, and they are super-cute. I really enjoyed staying in mine.
If you are thinking about RV parks as disorganized, dirty and depressing places, Lake in the Forest will surprise you. It is immaculate, everything is well maintained and it feels consistently like a good part of town.
There are a lot of nice places around the park where you can

First of all, I must disclose that I am hesitant to write this review because I want to make certain we'll be able to reserve a cabin in the future! This is our first stay at Lake in the Forest, but it will definitely not be our last. I made a last-minute reservation for just a few nights and the staff couldn't be friendlier. They even texted me the checkout procedures in advance! Our cabin is super cute: the kids loved the upstairs sleeping loft so much that we didn't even unfold the couch. The kitchen has enough pots, pans, and dishes for my husband who loves to cook, but we discovered that on

Just got here, the office attendants were friendly & so far we have all the info we need to hook up. Wi-fi isn't great, but it works for the most part. They have a large property that we toured around with Oem, the lady that lives on the property. She showed us al the animals including Sammie the llama. We went on a morning run, used the pool to cool off, and did some of the activities they offered. Quaint location, very relaxing.
