Jamie Flegal has been involved in the tax profession for over 17 years. She started in 2002 at H&R Block and had a desire to advance in the tax profession. She went on to receive her Registered Tax Return Preparer, (RTRP), and became a tax preparer for CDS Business Services. She worked under the late Mike Goodman and gained a wide variety of skills and knowledge and credits him with helping to guide her to open her own business.
She has worked hard to grow her small business and could not have done it without her wonderful and loyal clients. Ms. Flegal has been a resident of Chattanooga for 24 years and has a son who graduated from Auburn University in 2016. She enjoys golfing, caring for her two adorable dogs, and attending Christ Methodist Church.

Jamie started preparing our taxes in 2017. I was nervous at first because I usually do not mix friendship with business, but Jamie is very professional, protects her clients’ privacy, and does the necessary research to help with your tax issues and questions. I am so glad we moved our tax preparation to Flegal Tax Associates. I know if I have any tax questions or issues Flegal Tax Associates will be there to support and guide me.

I decided to have someone prepare my taxes for me this year. It was late in the tax year, so I wasn't sure if I could find someone. Some were booked and some didn't return my calls/emails. The hubby and I needed a last minute tax appointment and Jamie worked closely with us to find a time that worked for our crazy schedule. She was very professional, kind, and easy to talk to. Her office was clean, comfortable, and she had a tv hooked up to her computer screen so you could easily watch her work and ask questions.
Jamie was very patient and went through all our information with us. She explained how tax returns are calculated and how to improve next years tax return.

We needed professional assistance with disaster recovery expenses from a tornado loss. Jamie was waiting and ready at our appointment time. Our data input was displayed on a screen, so we could follow as the return was calculated. Jamie was able to identify deductions as well as advise us for the coming year. I've come to know Jamie through my father who is also her client. She's always been great with helping me with annual tax reports for me, but about two years ago she helped me solve a mistake made from IRS. I received a letter from them asking me to pay $20,000+ tax for my earnings from that year. Jamie spent quite a bit of time with me and on her own to reach out to them to solve the issue, which resulted in me receiving money instead of having to pay more taxes than I had already done so. Thank you so much Jamie, and you guys will not be disappointed by her!
