What is a "coinsurance" and how is it different from a copayment? A copayment is a fixed amount that the patient must pay the provider at the time of treatment Coinsurance is a percentage you share with the insurance company after the deductible has been met. If there are two insurance companies, the primary insurance will pay first (after the deductible has been met), and then the secondary pays the balance.

I am a psychiatrist, and this company has been wonderful for my practice. I have a telemedicine practice, so my requirements as far as dealing with insurance are even more difficult than a normal practice. Health Assets has been there for me, through thick and thin. They have provided excellent service, even through this Covid crises. My account reps are easy to reach, respond promptly too all my questions, and have really customized their processes for the needs of my practice. I would recommend them to anyone who needs billing and credentialing services.
