An ice dam is a build-up of ice at the bottom edge of the roof. When you have a lot of snow on the roof, the ice starts to melt near the edge of the roof creating ice. As the ice builds up, snow trapped behind the ice will start to melt. A shingle roof is designed to shed water. It is not waterproof.

Deciding to invest into your home can be challenging and stressful. I recently decided to demo the existing deck and rebuild a new one that was much larger, stronger and would last a long time. After many hours of research on deck designs and building codes, I decided it would be better to have professionals do the work for safety and longevity concerns. While researching companies, there were a lot of bad reviews on some of the local businesses in my area. This made me nervous on what I was about to encounter contracting out the work. Ultimately, I decided to go with Voyager Siding and Decks.

From start to finish our deck project was amazing! The initial inspection was professional and informative! The communication from the owner, the project manager and the crew was outstanding! We called Voyager for a bid to replace our siding and windows. After our first consultation with them, we knew who were going with. We were going to install vinyl siding, because we didn't know any better, but they suggested we take a look at the James Hardie products for siding, and we chose to go that route instead. From beginning to end, the process of working with Voyager was easy. We worked with multiple teams, and the crews were top-notch. The final product looks nothing like our old house. The craftsmanship, attention to detail, etc., nothing was missed. Would I hire them again? Absolutely

Voyager Siding and Decks did an exceptional job building our dream deck. The Voyager team really made the whole process simple and easy. First Voyager’s professional sales team member (nicely dressed in voyager shirt) came and reviewed our property, listened to what we wanted for our deck and then within a short period quickly returned a competitive quote.
