Today, manufacturers offer solid hardwood floors in a variety of widths, thicknesses, finishes and wood species. The most common North American hardwood species used for solid wood flooring are red oak, white oak, ash and maple, but you can also get solid hardwood flooring in many exotic wood species, such as Brazilion cherry, tiger wood, Australian cypress and many others from around the World.
Laminate flooring used to look like a cheap, plastic imitation of real hardwood flooring. Times have changed though with the technological advances of laminate flooring in the past decade, laminate flooring is now looking better (and more realistic) than ever. Now, you can have a beautiful, durable and affordable new floor in just a snap!
Refinishing a hardwood floor is the most intensive since it completely removes the existing layer of finish before a new layer is added. Refinishing a hardwood floor can be used to repair moderate to severe scratches (where the actual wood has been damaged) or when you want to change the color of your hardwood floor with a different stain.
Water damage can be disastrous for even the best quality hardwood flooring. If water is left to get into the boards it can cause warping, distortion and changes to the size and shape of your floorboards. In extreme cases the damage makes its way deep into the concrete, causing lasting problems like damp and mould.

Tomek and his assistant showed up right on time, very professional, and did an excellent job in making our engineered hardwood floors look fantastic! We have been in the home over 10 years and are getting ready to sell the home - they made the floors look brand new! Tomek and team were very efficient and got the job done under the estimated hours I was initially provided. I would highly recommend Wood4Floors!!

On July 19, 2017 Tomek (Tomasz Zachwieja - Owner) and one helper arrived on time (actually about 15 minutes early) to remove our 30 year old carpet, vinyl sheeting, and ceramic tile. By the end of the day all the old was removed and installation of 1120 S.F. of Luxury Vinyl Plank began. At midday 7/21/17, all the work was done including new 5" Baseboard. Our home has two recessed floors which required about 30' of Stair Nose. He also supplied and stained about 12' of Quarter Round in one of the bathrooms to match the cabinets. The work was done in a very professional manner
