Nothing screams more perfect than a bestie night throwing down some clay on the wheel! My friends were first timers when it came to creating your own pottery, but the employees/instructors at Drip were amazing! They had all 3 of us feeling like pros within minutes. I took a pottery class back in college and remember being HORRIBLE at it. So not going to lie...I was definitely nervous about this adventure; But seriously it was so easy! The instructor was the sweetest and so patient! She began with asking us each what we'd like to make, and then she walked each of us step by step through the

This place is AWESOME. If you are ever in Ybor and want something fun and creative to do this place is a MUST. My husband and I came for a date night. Not only was the 1st experience perfect but this set us up for 2 more date nights! 1st was to create the item, 2nd was to paint the item then the 3rd was to come for pick up. Plus its BYOB! The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable on everything. We had so much fun we decided to bring our daughter and her friends for her birthday! Johnny is awesome and really helps you to bring out your creative side in your work. I can't say enough about

I brought my daughters 9 & 7 here for mommy daughter day! They had a blast & got to design their own pottery. My 9 year old was a bit frustrated and someone ( I can’t remember his name)who worked there took the time to sit down with her and get her creativity running. When we came back to paint the young lady Dalia( I think that’s was her name) she was amazing with the girls and helping them pick colors and commenting on their work. I have to say it’s hard to find good costumer service lately, but at drip they seem genuinely nice and alway were willing to help. The girls enjoyed it and are

Honestly a 4.5 because at the end they did forget us for a little. But I loved the experience as a whole! They allowed drinks and food, music was upbeat and fun, plus everyone working there was enthusiastic and helpful! Would love to go qgain and try the full clay experience!

A cute adventure for our girls day out. We made an appointment and I'm so glad we did, this place got pack quickly!! Our instructor was such a joy and loved his sense of humor. We were able to pick a package for people that live out of town and they can mail your pieces to you which I thought was a very sweet. If you don't want to get down and dirty you can also just come in and pick a piece off the wall and just enjoy your time painting. On top of all you can bring wine!!

Absolutely loved Drip!! Thought the studio was very visually & aesthetically pleasing. I loved the plants and art throughout the studio, along with the many themed nights that they throw. My partner and I went in and painted a bowl and loved the outcome. You can spend as much time as you want in the studio working on your piece. They let you choose any paints/brushes/etc. There's also options to start from scratch with clay, and create your own bowl which I would love to do some day!!! Very friendly staff as well!!! They also provide smocks!

We made our reservation on May 6 to do the 'pottery class' as a gift for my mom. The cost for 2 people was $100.70. The clay throwing experience was ok, considering we had never done it before, but the girl kept fixing and adjusting our pieces and at the end, she pretty much asked us what we were trying to create and just made it herself. Once our clay was off the wheel, we had the opportunity to use hand clay pieces to add embellishments. This part was fun cause not much skill was required. When it was all done, we handed off our pieces and were told to come back in 2 weeks and they would be

Such a fun, cool place we took our kids when we were in Tampa on vacation. Huge selection of paints and pieces to choose from. Super interactive, our kids loved it and a fun creative way to spend a couple hours. Owner was super good about mailing finished pieces to us (we live out of state) once they were completed. We will definitely go back next time we're in the area.

Ybor city’s community art space! A place where hip hop meets pottery, where kids can let their wildest creations come to life , where adults can vibe out, listen to great music, have a drink and let their creative juices flow!!!
No place is perfect and has its ups and downs, good days and bad days, this place is the best place to experience real life, and it’s the last place to please everyone.
Drip Ybor is family owned and operated. A place where an American kids dream has come to life! We love you Johnny Drip!!!

This place really is perfect for a kids craft day or a romantic date night. My 8 year old had been dying to try the pottery wheel and Jon was absolutely amazing with him. Super patient, super helpful without being overbearing/taking over, and he explained everything in a way that kept his attention and helped him understand what was happening and why. He got more clay to work with than he knew what to do with. I can't wait to go again and try it myself next time.

This is the coolest place I've seen in awhile. I've been to pottery places to paint that aren't nearly as friendly, cool or as flexible as this place. I've rented space at a clay throwing place where you do it in your own. Here they will just let you come in for a class. They help you center, teach you and let you create. Friendliest staff ever. The owner is just the coolest dude. Differently worth a fun day or night out. Highly recommend.

We went to drip today and had the best time. My son has been wanting to do some clay crafts and when I saw this place I knew we had to try it. John was amazing. He taught them how to use the wheel to make a bowl and was so helpful and patient. Very welcoming. I highly recommend Drip and we will definitely be going back.

The experience was fun but there’s no for sure day you’ll get your finished project. Me and my friend went to Drip June 12 and we were told that our projects would be completed (put in the kiln) in 10 days. Today June 25, 13 days later I left work on my lunch break to pick it up. My friend’s project was done and my project was still sitting on the shelf with clear glaze. Both of our projects were done the same day completed at the same time. I don’t really understand how the system or rotation works but that does not make sense. The frustrating part is that we have to pay before we get

I am giving this place 2 stars because the employees are friendly, however, this business is poorly ran. I came with a friend to take a pottery on the wheel class - which was great. We were told to come back in 2 weeks to paint our pottery. Okay, no problem. We come back and our pottery wasn’t ready/dried and was told to come back in another week. Ugh. So we come back again to paint and while we were there, an angry customer came in yelling at the owner about how she had a similar situation like we did (having to come back multiple times for her pottery). The place is small so everyone heard

This was a fun idea think of having 3 dates In one. It's a long process so hopefully you live in Tampa if you want the wheel throwing experience and making your own from scratch. You just have to make sure you're not from a different city bc it does take about a month to get the finished product. 1) you have to make it. 2) they ask you to wait like 2 weeks for them to put it in the fire. 3)you have to come back and paint it and then they have to put it in the fire again. 4) you can finally pick up your piece. Great date idea my partner loved this.

While on vacation, I came across this really creative space. I really felt inspired to create the moment I walked in. With gallery style walls dripping with art how could I not. The energy of this place is high vibe with chill ambiance. They also host movie nights and open mic nights. Which I haven't seen in years! If you are looking to unwind and let your creative energies flow...this place is where you want to be.

My sister and I discovered DRIP shortly after we moved to Tampa, and quickly fell in love with the place, now we come every week.
The atmosphere is stylish but laid back, artsy but not snobby, and super inclusive of LGTBQ and all sorts of walks of life. So it matches the spirit of Ybor perfectly. At the shop you can paint premade ceramics, throw some clay on the wheel, attend a sculpting class, print custom t shirts and even catch an open mic night.
John and his wife are always super friendly, they'll talk to you about anything and are always working on some fun project. John is also a great

I take my friends 10 year old to do fun things about once a month so as a non parent it gets hard finding things to do that are affordable and fun. We went and painted and John was so wonderful with her. I'm a little more on the quiet side and he explained everything and let us go crazy painting! He even helped her draw some birds on her pottery! She has already asked me to go again! I can't recommend this studio more! I'm going to try to take some of the adult classes when I can get some free time!
