Services
The Power-Pipe Drain Water Heat Recovery System is an effective way to reduce water heating costs by 20 to 40% and continue saving throughout the entire building lifecycle. Power-Pipe Drain Water Heat Recovery systems can substantially reduce water heating costs and help businesses and institutions obtain energy certifications such as LEED.
Yes! Power-Pipe Drain Water Heat Recovery systems save money and energy when used with any water heating system. The Power-Pipe is designed to be installed vertically and this is the most efficient installation method. However, in situations where there is a high volume of hot water used, and no vertical drain stack, it may be beneficial to install a Power-Pipe horizontally.
Advanced heat exchanger technology offers significant energy and cost savings anywhere you use warm or hot fluids in your operations. Power-Pipe Drain Water Heat Recovery (DWHR) Systems enable manufacturers and processors to decrease energy costs and to reduce their operation's environmental impact by using energy far more efficiently.
The Power-Pipe is simple to install in most homes, and any licensed plumber or experienced handyman should be able to install a unit in 2 hours or less. Below you will find our installation video, and step-by-step instructions for basic installations. Our Installation instruction are available for download so you can read for yourself or pass them along to your plumber or contractor.
The cost of heating water is usually the second-biggest energy expenditure in a multi-family residential building, exceeded only by the cost of space heating. As building envelopes become more energy efficient, the cost of water heating grows as a proportion of overall building energy load profiles and costs.
