First and foremost, we at the Berkana Institute of Massage Therapy are on a crusade to remind everyone that Massage Therapy is an art form. Massage Therapy is not a technical skill in itself, and only utilizes technique as one tool along with many other cultivated skills in order to meet the needs of our clientele and express the art of bodywork in a fluid and creative way.
The Berkana Institute of Massage Therapy is intentionally different. We do not follow current industry trends in massage therapy education, and we are extremely proud of, and committed to our stance. We are the minority, championing the "old school" approach to massage therapy education while integrating professional evolution.

As a graduate you hear time and again how clients seek out students from this school. Berkana is hands down a school that provides a top notch education and the skills necessary to effectively open and run your owm practice. I opened my business immediately after graduating and felt confident with the support the school gave me as an alumni. If you are considering a massage school then look no further. Berkana is by far the best bang for your buck.

The Berkana Institute dramatically transformed my life for the better. As a graduate, I have compared my education to that colleagues received in other parts of the world, and Berkana is the most well rounded, scientifically sound, and mindful education around. Berkana also prepared me for medical school, which I am thriving in and I believe it's largely due to the top quality and in-depth education I received at the Institute, and the support from the amazing faculty along the way. I’m a graduate here. Although the founder would like us to create our own business, I applied for many jobs as a massage therapist after graduation. Every where I go, I’m offered a job. Having multiple employers offer me work has been extremely satisfying and much needed, especially during covid times. This school is not only a solid investment economically, but I’m a better person leaving the program. I’m a wholistic, health healer now and I love my new life. I would recommend this school to anyone who is serious about entering into the massage profession. The program is continually being refined by the students (past and present), educators, and creator of the school which contributes to the high standard of practice that each Berkana graduate leaves with.
