Bishop Carroll Catholic High School
Our Mission: To assist parents in forming disciples of Christ who enrich the culture as stewards of God's gifts. Notre Dame High School was located at 3100 W. Douglas, in a property formerly occupied by Mt. Carmel Academy. Future Bishop of the Diocese of Wichita Rev. Eugene Gerber was among the first full-time teachers for the 1962-1963 school year, which opened with a single freshman class of 180 boys.
Services
This school has been serving Catholic families of Wichita for more than five decades, and we're as strong today as we've ever been. I say this because we have a dedicated administration, wonderful teachers, involved parents, and students invested in their own education who seek to learn more about God in the process.
The formation of students as disciples of Jesus occurs during the sacred liturgy, in the classroom, on the playing field, on the performance stage and everywhere a Bishop Carroll student interacts with the community. The Eucharist is the source of the summit of our lives.

Students and faculty participate in daily Mass, the sacrament of confession, Eucharistic adoration, retreats, prayer throughout the day, and stewardship to family, parish and the community.Religion classes are taken each semester, taught with great fidelity to our Holy Mother Church. We strive to build up the Body of Christ by forming disciples to carry out the New Evangelization.
Our school logo ("institutional mark") is a negative space cross outlined by four adjoining brackets and supported by three bold chevrons, symbolizing the Chevron Cross which graces the front of our building as well as our rich religious history. Our activities logo is an interlocking B and C in bold, italicized letters representing our namesake Bishop Mark K. Carroll as well as the forward momentum of our athletic programs and activities.
The Bishop Carroll community continually amazes me, and while there are many things that stand out about Bishop Carroll, one of the things that strikes me is the strong sense of community that we have within our walls. I feel, as do many others, that that has only been strengthened over the course of the last few years as we introduced the Community System to our students, faculty, and staff.
Stewardship is the grateful response of a Christian disciple who recognizes and receives God's gifts and shares these gifts in love of God and neighbor. Then, referring to the privilege of Catholic education, he said, "True education enables us to love life and opens us to the fullness of life." Catholic education in the Diocese of Wichita is true, good and beautiful.

I had an amazing experience. The community is wonderful. My father attended, I attended and my kids are there now...what else can I say.

Class of 1996. I was taught to be well mannered and well disciplined in my studies and beyond. I was more than prepared for the university I attended after high school, thanks to the rigorous academics and high standards that were expected of me at Carroll.

The community is amazing, the school pride is unmatched, the sports and academics and performing arts are breathtaking, and the students are just nicer and better people than ones from any other high school in my experiences
