Lynwood first opened its doors in 1980 as a subsidiary of Chris B. Christians, Inc., a local lath and plaster contracting company out of San Antonio. Founded in 1910, Chris B. Christians II and his company gained national recognition for being a pioneer to the lath and plaster industry. In the 1950's second generation sons Sonny and Buddy Christians joined the family business and continued the growth and excellence.
Quickly acknowledged as hard workers with an acute business sense, the Christians brothers continued to expand and diversify the scope of Chris B. Christians, Inc. with the purchase of Lynwood Brick and Tile in 1974.
