Was not able to assist with alterations only because I called a day before ( my fault ) it needed to be done , he gave me a couple hints and tricks so that I was able to complete it . worked perfectly thank you thank you

My bridesmaid took her dress in for alterations. Alterations were forgotten and the person altering the dress was all over the place. She picks up the dress today and asked should she try it on. Was informed it wasn't necessary and there was nothing else that needed to be done. Once she gets the dress homes and removes it from the bag there are white marks and grease stains all over it! The alterations are not even. I thought the 5 star reviews meant this would have been a great place to have her dress altered.. very disappointed. She was charged $100 and the dress is a mess! Do not recommend.

Professional tailor with a good heart! Gives realistic dates for completion even though it can be weeks. Just as he plans, he also accommodates the occasional emergency rush job if he can. Very nice guy with several helpers.

We had a wedding coming up, and at the last minute had to get a suit pant hemmed. John made room for us in his busy schedule, and had the trousers henned in no time. We were pleasantly surprised and would gladly recommend John Pontello Tailoring to everyone.

10 out of 10! The people that work there are so kind. I had a hole in an awkward spot on the side of my sweat pants where my pockets were and he fixed it perfectly! Great communication skills and excellent sewing techniques. Will definitely be going back. And they have great prices!

John went out of his way to make must needed alterations to my pants 3 hours before close, same day. It immediately occurred to me John truly cares about the customer and their appearance. Five Stars, Highly Recommend.

I needed a last minute somewhat minor fix to a dress I had just purchased for a local cancer event. 2 days before the event, I called and asked if there was any way possible he’d be able to on such short notice. Being he was super busy with his regular clients and I’m sure with the upcoming prom, I was prepared to beg John to take on a new client but I didn’t have to! He squeezed me in, and turned my dress around, beautifully done I might add in 24 hours!!!! Definitely recommend John for your tayloring needs 👍🏻

I won’t use any other tailor in South Carolina. John is a not only a master of his craft, but just a fantastic business owner and person in general. Highly recommend him.
