We offer Traditional and Classical Chinese Medicine care at all of our centers in Kingston, NY, Rhinebeck, NY and Danbury, CT. Treatments include acupuncture, qi healing, moxibustion, cupping, Gua sha, tui na, and herbal medicine. Care at our centers is based upon ancient principles of Chinese medicine, and energy balance.
The Chinese Healing Arts Center, founded by Grandmaster T.K. Shih, OMDand his wife, De Ying Huang, OMD, has grown since its birth in the early 1980's from its original center in Kingston, NY to include offices in Danbury, CT and Rhinebeck.

The phrase "tong ji jang" is rooted in an ancient Shih family tradition of involvement in the healing arts. Melanie Shih's great-great-grandfather owned and ran a pharmacy by this very name in China many years ago. Melanie has chosen to carry on this tradition and so has assembled an impressive collection of many of the original herbal teas and preparations that were sold in that Chinese pharmacy generations ago.
