Services
What began as a hobby and passion turned into the expertise that fuels Midwest Pickers, the largest antique and home goods shop in the Omaha, NE, area. Father Gene started "picking" in 1969 and passed his knack for finding quality vintage on to his daughter, April, who, after many successful years in the corporate world, decided to spend more time with her Dad doing what they love.
You don't need to hold an estate sale in your home. At Midwest Pickers we can bring your unique estate items to our store for 90 days to get items in front of more buyers and the right buyers. Longer exposure to more buyers in our popular showroom may fetch better prices on certain items. Great option for those short on space, no time to set up displays in home, parking issues etc.

This is the real deal people. First of all, it's HUGE! Sure it's crammed to the gills and a little disorganized, but guess what, real collectors love that; it's makes the hunt more fun! As to grumpy staff, April is more than friendly so maybe you caught her dad on a bad day. If I'm still working when I'm in my 80s I bet I'll have a few bad days too. Now let's talk about "the stuff."

They don't have racks and racks of boring everyday clothes here like everywhere else, but I spotted a cool looking London Fog trench coat hanging near a huge pile of

I won't say the other comments aren't true but my experience was enjoyable. The place has a musty smell and it not the best organized but that's what picking is all about. I personally think the prices were a bit high but there are treasures to be found for sure. Worth stopping by

This store is AMAZING!! So many cool items from trinkets to awesome big piece finds. If you can't find something by the time you leave then something is wrong. The owners are very friendly and helpful too! Highly recommend.

Excited to go for the first time. Too crowded, dirty and yes smelly. Tried to buy a trellis for 5 less but she said it was worth more and was actually going to raise the price. I spend $1. And yes the old man was creepy. We will go elsewhere as well. Not impressed at all. Much better places to shop. Don't bother commenting. I don't care.

Online purchase made, but hope to see the shop someday in person. Fantastic communication with one of the owners which made my buying experience pleasant. Seemed to be very knowledgeable and passionate about what they were doing and made great suggestions for me of other items to look at. Would recommend to anyone looking for cool antiques and collectables! Thanks!

We walked here today from the Blackstone district. The place is phenomenally full of stuff. No way to see it all, even if you spend hours there. This is a collectors dream. The beauty of a place like this is that there is magic if you look around. It is not all laid out for you to see everything, you have to look carefully in the case, on the shelf, in the drawers. I spent most of my time there right by the front desk, looking at tiny dolls, figures, jewelry, toys, and so much more. April was extremely friendly and helpful and amazingly knew where so many things were, that she brought to me

Young lady was friendly... elderly man muttered under his breath (to my mom) about people being cheap and rude... most items were not priced and when inquiring about an item, we were called "cheap and rude" upon placing the item back.

First time here and definitely will be coming back!! My boyfriend and I are avid antique shoppers as I have a porcelain doll collection and he retro gaming. We found AMAZING stuff here. The owner was VERY friendly and negotiated some prices with us for both the collection of dolls I found and a gaming system my boyfriend found. The entire place has such a great feeling and so many interesting items and I could for sure spend more time there.

This place is awesome, plenty of good finds for everyone in the family! My girlfriend collects porcelain dolls and the owner was very much willing to make her a deal if she bought multiple! I found a Super Pong IV complete in the box! Definitely will be stopping by here on our next antique hunt!

I stopped by yesterday and found the prices extremely high compared to other thrift/second-hand stores. At times, the asking prices seemed double what I would pay elsewhere. A small brass planter? $15. I'd pay $5-$8 at other places. Additionally, a lot of the items are pretty junky and dirty to boot. Finally, the place was blasting a far-right Christian station when I was in. Definitely off-putting if you're a different religion. I can't say I felt welcome.

Such a fun place to wander around! We found some furniture pieces we fell in love with, and the owner was extremely helpful and we had lots of help getting it into our car. I'll definitely be back!

While I found some good things I find it hard to believe that charging admission to an antique store is a good idea. We had to pay a dollar just to enter. I spent 300 bucks and maybe should have been refunded as I made a purchase. Nope. And to top it off I was not allowed to use my tax resale number and had to pay another 30 bucks in taxes. I hope they enjoy the admission they got from me that day as it will be the very last dollar they get from me. Terrible business practice.

Never have I ever been asked to pay an admission fee to enter a facility in which I had planned on spending money. They lost a paint sale today as I was intending on buying some of the Junk Gypsy paint. In addition, I was really looking forward to making a few furniture purchases as I am re-doing several rooms in my house. As a business owner myself, I realize that half of the battle is getting clients through the door. Here they are turning them away before they can get over the threshold. I arrived at the location around noon today, Friday 3/3. I had shopped here before last year (for free..

I came into the store with my son on Saturday 2.24.17 looking for a very specific unique high dollar ($500+) item that I had seen posted online. The $1 requested at the door is actually a DONATION to the food bank (not a $1 "cover charge") which we were more than willing to support. I was immediately greeted by April. She found the exact item I wanted. April even told me the history of the item, which made me love it even more. She was willing to wiggle on asking price a bit to compromise at a purchase price that we were both comfortable with. Overall, I had a wonderful experience. Would

Has a lot of items a huge variety with many unique items. Downside I agree with many other reviewers in that the prices are a bit high, maybe he expects you to haggle a bit. The people could be a bit more friendly. Went on a Saturday and they were charging a $1 for admittance-??- don't know why. Stopped in on a Friday and they weren't so weird...

All in all I like walking through, have bought some items but cost is a limiter on many many items there...

I have a problem with poorly organized antique stores, and this one falls right into that category. The warehouse is big, I'll give them that, but it's not the cleaniest and there are items strewn haphazardly on shelves, tables, etc - no real organization to speak of. I found some neat items for fairly cheap, which was nice, but I've been to better antique stores and overall, just not a fan of this one.
