Avoid getting your care here. The care is fine but you could get the same level of care elsewhere where they wont mess up billing. Their billing department is in shambles and failed to file with my insurance within the deadline. They then harassed me to pay for an appointment that was fully covered under my insurance and when I refused because it was their mistake, they sent it to a collection agency. The staff refused to admit to their mistake so what was supposed to be a regular checkup cover by insurance has become a massive headache. You are much better off getting your care elsewhere.

Unprofessional, first solution is pushing pills, staff is uncaring, poor communication, will not assist in referrals for services they advertise on their website that they offer. Sent incorrect information to a facility that I had to work with my insurance agency to get because Freeport Medical Center refused to help me with a referral. They sent the wrong phone number to the facility to contact me, which created a major issue and inconvenience. Unapologetic, insincere. Refused to transfer my medical records due to a balance on my account, which is ILLEGAL. I had to threaten legal action before

I have been a patient here since they opened up and have seen both Brian and Dawn. Everyone in this office has been professional, kind, patient, helpful, and has made me to feel like I am their only patient in all interactions. I like that they treat me as a whole person, instead of isolated symptoms, and really listen to me. I could not be happier with my care here (by ALL staff members.)

I've only been here once, but my experience was great. I saw Dr. Knighton and we had a good chat about what I needed help with and how he could help. It honestly felt more like a discussion with a (highly knowledgeable) caring friend as opposed to a doctor just telling me what to do. I highly recommend Freeport Medical Center.

I've never been so impressed with a medical facility! Laid back when it can be. Serious when they need to be. Everyone is super attentive and informative. It's very clear Dr. Knighton is passionate about helping people and cares about his patients needs. I never feel rushed in office. I never have to wait long for a prescription. Very very professional. Thanks to everyone there!
I wanted to leave this review to help boost their rating after I saw the 1 start review Jessica left. I can vouch that many of the things are completely false. One in particular is the claim they push pills on people.

Dawn has an excellent way helping to care for me family and me. . She is humorous and easy to visit. She knows about me as a patient and I do not feel like a computer part. She is thorough, and follows through with recommendations that may be needed to visit other Drs.
She also has good ability with 2 special needs daughters. She has taken time to listen to me about them and to them.
Her office staff and helpers are good and kind people with all the many needs people have as one well knows.
Clean, tidy ,and a blood lab on sight.

The providers are excellent but the office staff are awful. They are extremely unorganized and are incapable of basic communication. I was charged for an appointment I did not make, then when I called to discuss it with the office manager she first agreed it was their error and somehow in the same sentence proceeded to blame me for the issue and gave me a stern talking to about responsibility. Dr. Knighton was very helpful but he may want to consider firing his wife, she's just not responsible enough for the job.

The receptionist was friendly, polite and invited me to wait in the nicely decorated, clean waiting room. The nurse was very efficient. Dawn Trani-Fallom, NP was pleasant and knowledgeable. She made certain all of my questions were answered. I was told I would have to wait for 45 minutes, since I was a walk-in, yet I was in and out in under an hour!
