Located in NW Pennsylvania, Horizon is right in the heart of the hardwood action. Our Pennsylvania sawmill produces high-quality specialty wood products. Our attention to detail produces highly satisfied customers. People trust Horizon Wood as a reliable source for the hardwood boules, flitches and lumber.
It all begins with the log. Each selection is analyzed before it is opened to determine where the secrets are hiding. We decide what type of wood product the log is best suited for: hardwood flitches and boules, lumber, or something completely unique. Sometimes the needs of the customer direct those decisions.
Horizon's sawmill maintains the focus on the production of American Hardwood Boules and Flitches that it was originally designed for when the first machine was installed in the early '90s. Although we've expanded our capabilities since then our boules and flitches are still the best produced in the US.
Although Horizon Wood Products started out with a strict focus on the production of boules, we have expanded our capabilities to include a variety of other wood products, as well. We have refined our process over the years in order to provide our customers with the best selection of lumber and other wood products in Pennsylvania.
At Horizon Wood Products, we know that the best wood projects start with the best logs. We take great care to deliver products that will exceed every expectation. That's why, prior to manufacturing our wide variety of wood products, we closely inspect and analyze each log to determine the product for which it is best suited.

Great customer service and selection. I am a lower volume customer (a few orders per year of several bookmatch/slab sets) and they go out of the way to send extra pictures of options beyond their website listing. The quotes are quick and turnaround time on order to delivery is always rapid. My go-to source for slabs.
