Shelterwood is a leader in sustainable building. We understand that attractive homes and environmentally conscious materials are not mutually exclusive. Our goal is to produce durable, sustainable structures, and to help reduce the demand for resources for the lifecycle of the structure. Smart planning during design and construction also helps reduce production waste.
To this end, Shelterwood Builders at Prairie Green Homes have taken great pains to landscape the site with naturally occurring vegetation, including spots of prairie grasses and ground covers, are arranged in a seemingly random fashion, but one which allows for the greatest privacy and enhancing various vistas of the property.

David Lantz overcharged us, without authorization, over 250,000.00 for excavation work performed by Barrow Excavation. Not only were we overcharged, together, they played a good cop, bad cop role to pressure you to continue paying for services or else they threaten to stop working (Barrows) yet Barrows constantly badgers the client for money that has already been paid to Shelterwood. It took them more than 4 months longer than agreed to in their contract to complete the project and finally, when we terminated the contract, discovered that most subs had not been paid or had been paid late and struggled
