When it comes to weddings, fresh flowers evoke a feeling of life, beauty, and emotion. We love to work with seasonal, novelty blooms and foraged foliage to create a refined, garden inspired look. We believe flowers should be arranged loosely yet intentionally, in a style that allows each stem to be showcased - like an English garden.
I can not say enough great things about Lori and AvaFlora. Lori was the first and only florist I met with. Her shop was so warm and welcoming! When I explained my vision to Lori she immediately knew the look I was going for. Everything she suggested I absolutely LOVED! Lori offers something that is difficult to find in other Long Island florists.
The main inspiration behind AvaFlora was to inspire originality and reshape the floral industry, particularly on Long Island. That is what we also want to accomplish through our workshops. We want to invite you into our flower world, share our passion and celebrate creating with our hands. Throughout each workshop, students will learn our detailed approach to seasonal floral design, color pairing, and organic movement.
The 1:1 workshop with Lori of AvaFlora felt completely inspiring in every way. Coming from Wall Street and the male dominated legal profession, it was so refreshing to spend the day with an entrepreneurial, creative woman so open to sharing her knowledge and talents. Lori is an incredible teacher! She is so kind, gracious and down to earth.
Unlike my previous mono-bloom design, this one took much longer to make. Close to an hour. While time isn't usually a concern during my creative playdates, it is something to keep in mind if I were to create a similar design for an event. Regardless, I loved getting. This past April we found ourselves back in the Hamptons for a Spring editorial.
