Learning to SCUBA dive is safe and affordable and it can expose you to an amazing underwater world. It requires training from instructors whose main goal is your safety and enjoyment. To ensure you are completely comfortable in the water Columbus SCUBA, Inc. (CSI) classes are performance-based. This means that you earn your certification when you demonstrate that you've mastered the required skills and knowledge.

I had confined water class with Bob Bolds and my open water check out dives with Jenna and Jeff. Bob prepared me for everything I would need to know as well as how to do the skills myself. I was able to get certified with ease and wasn't nervous at all! Jeff and Jenna had very different personalities that complimented each other so well and made the entire weekend a blast. My husband was already open water certified and came along so we could do our first buddy dive after my certification was complete. My experience with Columbus Scuba has been nothing short of spectacular. I’ve done my Open Water Certification and my Advanced Open Water Certification with them and I couldn’t imagine doing it anywhere else. To say the staff goes above and beyond for its divers is an understatement. Shelby and Brad were my instructors for my AOW and they were the dream team. My two boys age 18 and 16 took the introductory course with Gabe. The boys really enjoyed the course and are going to take advanced scuba as well. The classes were fun and Gabe kept it interesting. Both boys raved about Gabe and I am sure they had a good time in no small part due to his efforts. Hard to please teenage boys, but Columbus Scuba did it. I had a unique situation where I had already acquired half of the skills necessary to complete my open water certification before coming to Columbus Scuba. So when I took the open water diver course, they were able to accommodate for what I already knew and then build on that to finish the course.
The instructors and staff were incredibly friendly. My instructor was very knowledgeable and made every part of the experience personal.
Over all I had an amazing experience and am thrilled to continue taking diving courses though them.

My wife and I decided to enroll in the Open Water course. We looked at all the reviews for the companies in town and picked this one after contacting several. From start start to finish, the staff at all levels were incredibly friendly and professional. The instructor to student ratio was amazing allowing a lot of individual instruction.

I have attended the Open Water, Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver courses through Columbus Scuba, and could not be happier with the quality of instruction, instructors, and community that they have put together. The shop's staff is outstanding, knowledgeable and goes out of their way to assist customers. I cannot recommend them enough for all your scuba needs. They are so great, I drive all the way to Columbus from Florida.

I had an outstanding experience getting my Advanced Open Water certification with Columbus Scuba. The company cares about its students and they checked on us throughout the weekend.
My instructor, Tim, was very thorough and personable. He made sure that everyone was comfortable and safe in the water, and took time to teach us and ensure that we were proficient at the skills covered in the course. I highly recommend him!

Just got back from Cozumel on a dive trip with Columbus Scuba. This is our third dive trip with Columbus Scuba and like the other ones it was fantastic. My wife and I love the family atmosphere at Columbus Scuba and this extends to their trips as well. We have made quite a few new friends on these trips and at the events at the shop. I suppose I should add the beautiful sea life we saw on our dives.

My wife and I have always had great experiences with Columbus Scuba. My wife is an experienced diver and I was just getting into it for the first time. So far I've gone through Open Water Certification, to Advanced Open Water and my wife got a specialty training done with them. For the specialty training we had trouble finding time when she was free and they were offering a class so one of the instructors went above and beyond to make a time that fit her schedule. So happy to have found Columbus scuba for our open water certification! The dive shop's employees were knowledgeable, helpful, patient. They talked us through deciding which pieces of equipment we would be suited for, as well as explaining why. Jerry was so much fun and professional as our pool dive instructor, and we felt encouraged but safe every step of the way. What an awesome experience to kick off such a fun hobby! What an amazing experience we had! Took our family of 5 to them to get our open-water certification. Right from the start, Melissa and Andy showed they have that rare ability to run a make-you-feel-like-family kind of business that does everything right. Columbus Scuba is a top notch shop with top notch owners and staff. If you are looking for anything related to scuba, snorkeling, air supplies, etc. be sure to check them out first. I went to them to solve a work related issue with an air tank and not only received first rate service, but left with a better solution to solve the problem. Amazing group of instructors here! From the very beginning I found this school to go above and beyond..Shelby was my pool dive instructor and she took extra time with me when I was having anxiety and worked me through it.. because of her I am opened into a whole new world under water.. Scott and LuLu were my certification instructors at Gilba quarry. My daughter and I did our open water certification through Columbus scuba. Everything from the initial visit to the shop, through classroom and confined water to open water checkouts was awesome. Big thanks to Shelby! She was very knowledgeable and helped me extensively with multiple items; all of which required trying on, or wearing multiple things. As a novice, she educated me on what to look for, and how to know the way things should fit. I came in only to get prices, but by the end, I bought everything I wanted. She even special-ordered my fins so they were the right size.
What I loved the most was her attitude and passion for it. I'll be back!!! Btw, their prices are very competitive, I was impressed they weren't extravagant.
