The energy in our bodies, called qi or life force energy, runs through 12 major meridians associated with organs such as the heart, stomach, liver and kidney. In a healthy body the energies are constantly in motion, weaving through us and bringing natural healing and restoration. It's when this natural dance is interrupted, and the energies become blocked or stagnant that imbalance and illness can take hold.
Using acupuncture needles as fine as a strand of hair, Marty Golden, L.Ac., removes these blockages, releases toxic energies and restores balance to the energy system, bringing it back into natural equilibrium and restoring its ability to heal. Such a holistic approach allows for the treatment of both physical pain and mental stress and trauma.

Services
Marty is a licensed acupuncturist practicing Five-Element Acupuncture, the original incarnation of the discipline as practiced in China for thousands of years. The Five-Element philosophy is a holistic approach that brings the body, mind and spirit into balance and harmony with ourselves, others and the cycles of nature.
Pain focuses our attention on one part of the body: a migraine headache, a sprained ankle or achy arthritic hands - but Marty pulls out the focus to take a holistic approach. Physical pain can have its roots in past trauma, blocked energy or emotional origins. Using acupuncture or Zero Balancing Marty addresses the causative factor of the imbalance and opens the body's natural healing pathways, creating equilibrium and lasting relief.
The body has amazing powers of self-healing and restoration, however the hard knocks of life leave their mark - not only on our physical being but on our emotional and energetic patterns as well, leaving us with lingering symptoms such as grief, anxiety, depression, insomnia and PTSD. What we experience as traumatic is very individual to each person, but all of it can be released through acupuncture.
As a mother of twins who were conceived through in-vitro fertilization, Marty Golden understands the emotional roller coaster of going through infertility and assisted reproductive technologies. She brings this personal experience as well as specialized knowledge of acupuncture techniques to support each phase of conception, pregnancy, carrying to term and the postpartum period.
In the last few years, new scientific research and technology are providing documentation for the existence of the acupoints and channels along which the subtle energies flow throughout the body. Acupuncture points have been confirmed through CT scans and meridians have been revealed using MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) and other methods.

I've been visiting Wichita Holistic for a few months now and I'm always pleased with each visit. I leave more relaxed than I started off, and Marty really takes the time to get to know you and how to help you. I'm still learning about TCM and will continue to go for acupuncture treatments for as long as I can!

My first visit with Marty was exactly what I needed yesterday. I’ve had acupuncture before that was wonderful and really helped with my chronic pain. Marty’s intake process, pulse evaluation and intuitive holistic approach is just what I needed! You probably do too! Can’t wait for my next session (I am already booked!)

If you have never tried acupuncture, you should--and you should do it here--I've had acupuncture other places but it never felt like a pampering experience. Acupuncturist Kali Day is amazing, she really takes the time to talk to you and help what ails you. It doesn't hurt and I leave feeling relaxed yet energized every time. Also she does "cupping" therapy which I looked all over town for and it's awesome, draws the toxins out and kinda feels like a massage. I highly recommend.
