Irwin Chapel has been serving Glen Carbon and Granite City area families for years. We are honored to be a part of the rich history of this community and plan to be a part of it for many years to come. Mr. Edward H. Schildman, undertaker and embalmer, opened Schildman Funeral Home in Venice, Illinois, in the late 1800's.
Once you request the services of Irwin Chapel, we will immediately put our experienced funeral professionals to work for you. A single, dedicated individual will stay in contact with you every step of the way and guide you through the decision-making process.

While I had attended hundreds of funerals at Irwin Funeral Home, I was never involved in helping prepare for one. They did a stellar job and not once, at any time, was anyone there to hard sell or up sell us on anything. In fact, they answered our questions that allowed us to feel ok when we chose a lesser priced item. They handled everything and executed our every desire. Such a gift to anyone who is grieving the loss of a loved one.

Jason was so very helpful and compassionate, his patience while we were forced to make such hard decisions was truly a blessing. Gary was my dad's friend and made sure he drove my dad to his final resting place. They also made sure my mom got a stool to stand on so she could kiss my dad goodbye.
