I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). That's just professional jargon for being a licensed healer, marriage mender and change maker. I help people who want to transform their lives, and are buried under troubled pasts and hurting hearts. I guide them to healing their past demons so that they can live a life free of anxiety, depression, fears; and build a happier life for themselves and their relationships.
Culturally competent therapy for Muslims so you don't have to explain your culture and your values. My main approach to therapy is through the lens of Interpersonal Neurobiology and I am a fond student of the work of Dr. Daniel Siegel MD.

Mindsight and Mindfulness are an integral part of the work I do and several of my therapy sessions will begin or end with a mindfulness practice, where we will get to practice taking a non-judgmental stance and breathing.I am also trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills working with adolescents, families, and adults.

By helping this process we reduce trauma, depression, anxiety and many other psychological symptoms. Trauma is any moment in time when the body and brain encode an experience as being threatening to it's system.
