At The Auto Shop, we have a complete state of the art electronic diagnosis center, where we are able to determine precisely what is wrong with your vehicle. After a thorough diagnosis, our highly skilled technicians will provide you with premium quality auto repair services, at reasonable prices.
The Auto Shop can replace your catalytic converter with OEM replacement catalytic converters whenever you need one. We recommend that you avoid replacing your original catalytic converter with a universal one because the universal catalytic converters typically don't last very long. The inside of the catalytic converter is coated with precious metals like platinum, rhodium and palladium, which clean toxic pollutants from the vehicle's exhaust.
We all know somebody with an older, high-mileage vehicle that just keeps on running year after year. You might be wondering; "What's their secret?" Regularly scheduled maintenance and lubrication using the manufacturers recommended type and formulation of oil, grease and fluids is what will give you the best results.
We are you located at 129 E Orangeburg Ave, Ste A Modesto, CA 95350, across from Pep Boys. Appointments aren't always required, but we are often very busy. Appointments allow us to get your vehicle back to you as fast as possible. If you do not have an appointment you can always give us a call to see when we can squeeze you in.
Joe grew up in Hilmar, CA. He earned a bachelor's degree in Business Management from CSU, Stanislaus in 2012 and worked in various roles in the dairy industry from 2012 until taking over The Auto Shop in 2019 from retiring founders Bruce Little and Larry Tate. Having been a lifelong car lover and having always dreamt of owning his own business, The Auto Shop became the perfect opportunity for Joe to run a reputable and established local business.

It’s been years since I’ve been here, but was in town for an event and needed a brake job. Bruce has retired, but Todd is the man now and I enjoyed doing business with him. Honest, excellent customer service. Prices are good and quality of work is excellent. I may save future maintenance for my next trip to town. I highly recommend these guys. Keep up the good work.

Those guys are awesome. We used a few auto shops before we went to this place. Made me afraid of looking for a mechanic. They are honest. They dont look for fake problems to make your bill up. Their prices are fair And the service, nothing but perfect. I wish I'd met them way before. If i could I'd give them 10 stars. They are extremely polite, give you the attention you need, and they are fast.

We have been going to the Auto Shop for years and have never been disappointed. We got a new car and it started having a weird sound at the area of the gas cap door. Honda gave us a quote but we decided we would take it to the Auto Shop instead. We ended up saving money by taking our car to the Auto Shop! They are awesome. Fair, honest, polite, fast. You wont be disappointed. We went to few places before that made me never want to go back. This is the place. They could made up a lot of issues with our cars but instead they chose to be honest and we ended up with a bill waaaayyyy smaller than any other place. They are professionals and wont play with your cars nor your wallet.

Bruce was very helpful. He and his team did a thorough inspection. I originally wanted the brakes looked at because I think I could hear them squeaking, and he explained the estimated percentage I had left on the front and rear brakes and that it was really the drums that needed resurfacing. I asked him to personally drive my vehicle around and he found that the clutch would need to be soon replaced as I suspected. He kept me informed of all the potential costs of parts and work. Thank you.

Bought a new car almost two months ago, had to replace the starter, because it went out. During the process of replacing it, the battery had to be disconnected, what we didn't know was, disconnecting the battery causes the idle to get all messed up on the car we have. We couldn't figure out what was causing the car to die, so we brought it here. Everyone here was extremely helpful and nice, had everything fixed and back to normal in a few hours! Plus, Bruce looked over my Dads smog papers, because his truck won't pass smog, even after replacing almost everything, he let us know what

The real test for me though was after a repair for my Toyota Avalon. A part that they replaced began to smoke a week after installation. I called up and told them what had happened, and they towed me from 1800 McHenry to their
