Premier Millwork and Lumber Co., Inc. was established on Birdneck Road in Virginia Beach, Virginia in 1950 by Paul Gallup as a small custom millwork company. In 1974, George R. Melnyk, Sr. purchased Premier and in 1984, identifying the company's commercial and residential job growth, moved the business to the present location on Viking Drive.
Since 1950, Premier Millwork has grown from a company with a few employees to now employing more than 50 full time employees. We have also extended our business opportunities along the east coast. Throughout the 70 years of business, Premier Millwork has provided the highest quality millwork for commercial and residential projects.

Premier employs more than 50 professionals who are considered our most valuable assets. Our Master carpenters have years of experience in producing meticulously executed projects, from custom cabinetry to breath-taking circular staircases. We pride ourselves on the fact that a majority of our company's senior team members have dedicated 20 to 30 years of service to our industry.
Premier Millwork and Lumber Co., Inc. provides a variety of specialty, custom millwork services to our valued customers. Premier's Casework service is responsible for producing a wide range of cabinetry, from plastic laminate to fine veneered wood cabinets. Our cabinetry can be manufactured to meet the various needs of our clients in classrooms, office buildings or personalized home projects.
Since the inception of Premier Millwork our goal has been to provide custom millwork services to the local homeowner and to larger corporations. In recent years, a majority of our projects have been completed in conjunction with general contractors along the east coast. General contractors partner with us because they know that our finished product will not just meet, but exceed, the designer's and owner's expectations.

Premier Millwork designed and installed a complete set of cabinets for our construction project. The design work is outstanding, the attention to detail is first rate, and the owner personally helped refine the design detail. The installation was meticulous , and the technician frequently went above and beyond to fix other contractor flaws in our construction project. These folks can build anything. Highly recommend.
