After recognizing the need for a unique all-in-one Event Management Company, James and Rebecca Reed created Coastal Events in 2002. As a husband and wife team they have worked together to bring joy and happiness to Couples, Honored Guests, Families, and Businesses up and down California's Central Coast.

Services
All DJ Packages include set up, tear down, proper attire, a back up sound system, unlimited music selection and all consultations at no additional charge. Includes 2 speakers, 2 wireless lapel microphones for groom and officiant, hour pre-ceremony background music, traditional or customized music selection for processional, ceremony, and recessional.

James at Coastal Events hooked us up! We got along with him really well and he was super easy to talk to and had a lot of knowledge about what would work and what wouldn't for our wedding. He really knew how to turn this big, old, ugly hanger into a beautiful dream wedding venue! We also had DJ James do the music and got a photo booth & heaters through him too! The whole night was magical and I am glad we had James there to help us make it a day to remember! Thanks again To James and everyone at Coastal Events!

We hired James for indoor and outdoor bistro lighting at our wedding in September. He was extremely responsive and professional, and answered all of our questions. He also checked in regularly to see if there was anything else we needed. He was able to answer all of the questions that our venue had as far as set up, and they appreciate his quick and detailed responses. The lights turned out absolutely beautiful on the day of, and really made a difference in the look of the room. I would highly recommend using Coastal Events!

Hiring James & Coastal Events as our DJ and lighting provider for my wedding was the best planning decision I made! I guarantee you will want James at the helm of any event you throw. I got married at the Camarillo airport hangar, which I was really excited about since it was so unique but I was nervous about how to pull off a wedding there and make it look romantic. We just got married and used coastal events for their DJ services and they were AMAZING! James, the owner is so nice to communicate to and is so friendly! Our reception had the best music and a constant dance party! 10/10 would recommend Coastal Events for all your DJ needs!

James With Coastal Events provided the DJ'ing services for my wedding two weeks ago on 8/25/17, he set up sound systems for the ceremony area, cocktail area, & the reception area in our venue & it was absolutely flawless. The sound quality on the mic's & speakers was very clear no feedback whatsoever even though every part of our event was out doors. He worked super well with our photographer and videographers to make sure everything was captured perfectly. He also set up lighting for us in the reception area and it looked awesome! For our second wedding, we interviewed many vendors and we are confident in saying James is the best in the business. He is very professional, talented, works well with the other vendors and you can depend on him to do just about anything else you need for your event. In addition to being our Master-Of-Ceremonies, DJ, Lighting, and Photo Booth provider, James owns a small, economical and flexible construction company that installed a 20' x 20' pergola purchased from Costco under which we were married. If you want someone who is a professional as well as highly personable, James is your man! From the beginning, James made my wife and I feel so much at ease. On the rehearsal day, he did a great job in leading us on how the ceremony and reception will be coordinated. He was also very organized in explaining what will be happening next and what music will be played.
