Services
Pickwick Well Drilling was founded by two brothers, David and Norman Primost, now retired. The company is now owned and operated by David's son, Ben Primost. The company is proud to provide service to thousands of residents and businesses as well as to help enhance the professionalism of the industry.
We consistently drill wells that maximize ground water yield and produce the best quality water available in the area. We assist in design, aquifer test drilling, hydro-geologic logging and pump tests for high yield well requirements. We are certified by IGSHPA (International Ground Source Heat Pump Association) for installation of vertical closed geothermal loops and heat fusion joining of geothermal pipe.
This photo shows one of our installations in a clubhouse for an exclusive, large golf and tennis facility recently built in Monmouth County. We installed two wells for this building as a contingency should the pump installed in one of them fail, such as by a lightning hit, then the other would serve as an uninterrupted back-up.
Residential well drilling for domestic water supply in new homes and replacement wells for older homes has always been and continues to be a primary source of work for us. The occurrence and quality of ground water varies from one area to another, but our extensive knowledge of the areas and computerized database of thousands of wells we have drilled allow us to predict well depths and water quality with little guesswork.
Residential water treatment systems are typically designed to remove iron and hardness, adjust ph, remove "Rotten Egg" smell and polish up the taste and smell of the well water. Here is a photo showing a typical well system and water treatment installation.

Shown are two dual tank water treatment systems in parallel to remove iron and hardness, and a salt/chemical free water treatment system to remove the "Rotten/Egg" smell and polish up the taste of the water.Although many of our wells requires no treatment, when necessary, we specialize in custom systems designed to meet your individual needs.

This company does not stand by their work. The owner would not call me back after multiple calls to the business. My boyfriend shows up and then I get a call months later. They installed a sulfur blocker which did not block the smell and also caused months of blue staining in my tub which they said was not from them. I had multiple other companies come out to try help me with my problem. I was told the owner Ben of Pickwick doesn’t care about the customer and obviously he did not cause I made many calls to the business over the past year and he never came out to see the problems and issues I

Overpriced. Takes advantage of the situation in emergencies to over bill you. Got work done about a month ago.. till date they have not sent me a breakdown of the costs they billed me for. Perhaps fear of being exposed for their overcharging. Their employees did not wear masks or face covering at all instances of this service. The receipt I got with no breakdown did not even have a date. I anticipate problems getting warranty coverage from them because of this too. Find a more reliable company.

Dissatisfied. Over Priced. Check other companies. After drilling the well they stated they would leave the site in a "rough grade" it was completely unacceptable. I had to negotiate to receive some money to fix the problem which requires 4 yds of top soil and regrading by a landscaping professional.
Most recently the " Check Valve " went after 3 yrs. While using another company to repair they discovered that the adapter in the well was corroding due to chlorine. Evidently Pickwick added chorine with out by passing the adapter causing it to corrode . It cost me an additional $300 to replace to
