2. Calculate an extra 15 minutes to locate the building at 111 2nd Avenue N, to park, and to ride the elevator. There is a parking lot adjacent to the building but also plenty of free 2-hour parking around my block. Enter the building and ride any one of the elevators to the 5th floor. As you exit the elevator, look left and right to see a small seating area.
Broadly speaking, I treat individuals, couples, and families. Usually, patients arrive with an idea of what they are looking for, but it is not unusual for treatment modalities to morph and evolve. For example, after a number of sessions, a wife might decide to bring in her husband to transition to a couple's modality.
I am a relatively active therapist. That means that I don't like the feeling of just sitting and staring at you any more than you like to talk to someone who is unresponsive, evasive or cryptic. Rather, in addition to reflecting back what I am hearing from you, I also will be happy to share my point of view, or to outline a variety of perspectives I think you might consider on a given topic.
My office is in Plaza Tower -- Suite 514 on the 5th floor of 111 2nd Ave N in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida. The building is a high rise, about 10 stories. The blue dot with the image of a car -- that's where my office is. The parking garage is actually next door, just above the little car. Scroll down to see some photos.

Dr. Sobin is a caring and competent psychologist. I happily recommend him to anyone looking for relationship counseling! He is very experienced and enjoys helping couples improve upon their relationships. I have received positive feedback from those who I have referred to him and will continue to feel confident in referring friends, family, and clients to see him!

I reached out to Dr. Sobin through his website and he called me right away to schedule an appointment. It was really within two hours which I thought was really fast. Ever since my mom's death I've had a lot to deal with and really it got to be too much for me. I was overwhelmed and it felt like nothing was working out. Like nothing I did was right at all. So really I needed help and I was glad that Dr. Sobin could get me in so quickly. Normally I have my guard up around new people but he was easy to talk to and he listened really well to me. He shared his point of view and reassured me when I

I've been having sessions with Dr. Sobin for several months now. I've been getting help with things that have been going on with work and also depression. He was helpful and a very good listener. He is also kind and caring about my situation and I feel very comfortable during my sessions. I feel that Dr. Sobin is very good person to help me out as he’s already helped me with certain things such as seeing my coworkers point of view. His sessions are definitely very good for me and he has made me feel so welcome. I am feeling quite a bit better now and I am dealing better with some of the circumstances

I am reposting a review for Dr. Sobin because my 1st review is not recommended and I'm not sure why. So, for my in depth experience please see my other review. In a nutshell, however, my husband and I have been seeing Dr. Sobin for a while and he has dramatically helped our marriage. We communicate better, our intimacy has improved and we arent on the road to divorce. Dr. Sobin has been a literal marriage saver. He's easy to talk to and confide in. He's non-judgmental and warm. Ultimately, he is a great therapist!
