Services
Edesia is a non-profit social enterprise. Since 2010, our foods have helped treat and prevent malnutrition for over 15 million young children and women worldwide. Each year, millions of our portable, shelf stable "miracle food packets" are distributed by UNICEF, the World Food Programme, USAID, and others.
Our team of manufacturing professionals focuses on using the newest and best tools available to make our lifesaving foods. We prove every day that through automation, robotics, and advanced process control systems, we produce at an optimal level. We take pride in our work and are always striving to do better.
Watch Edesia's Founder and CEO, Navyn Salem, as she visits nutrition clinics in Chad, one of the many countries where Edesia ships its life-saving foods. There once was a time when treating severely malnourished children was a hopeless endeavor. Children had to stay in hospitals for weeks, and the milk powder-based formulas they needed to survive were costly and impractical.
Introducing Chobani Ends Child Hunger, wholesome peanut snacks made by Edesia that give back to humanity - 100% of profits will help nourish children worldwide. Edesia's R&D, manufacturing, and global humanitarian reach combined with Chobani's marketing, sales, and distribution power means getting to our shared goal of ending hunger and malnutrition faster.
Since opening our factory doors in 2010, we have proudly welcomed the public to see how we do what we do. Sharing our work opens more eyes to the malnutrition crisis that is affecting more than 220 million children worldwide. Inspiring Social Enterprise and team of talented, diverse and committed individuals making a global impact - one lifesaving package at a time! Edesia provided a very open, informative and exciting tour of their manufacturing facility - aka 'where the magic happens'. In addition to being inspiring, their intense commitment to quality assurance was evidenced first hand. Highly recommend supporting this non-profit and their local and global mission! And also signing up to take a tour as covid restrictions continue to relax.
