E. D. White is much more than just my old high school; it is the place that I credit for me becoming who I am today.
When I entered eighth grade, I had no voice for myself and did not know how to unapologetically live out my faith. With the guidance and support of all the faculty and staff, I learned how to overcome life's challenges and how to grow from those experiences. From the rigorous classes preparing me for college to all of the extracurricular activities, I could not have asked for more from E.D. White.

The mission of Edward Douglas White Catholic High School, a Houma-Thibodaux Diocesan co-education institution serving Thibodaux and the surrounding areas, is to impart the Catholic faith, promote academic excellence, and enhance self-esteem. E. D. White builds upon a strong tradition of Catholic education begun by the Sisters of Mount Carmel in 1855 and the Brothers of the Sacred Heart in 1891.

Dr. Melton is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston (UTHealth).She is the Director of the Limb Loss (Amputee) Program at Memorial Herman-The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research (TIRR-MH), internationally recognized as one of the leading rehabilitation programs.
