Ingersoll Place is special. You can hear it in the warm welcome at the reception desk and joyful banter among residents and staff. You can see it in the well-tended facilities and beautiful grounds, the artfully arranged dinner plates and chock-full activities calendar. But what truly makes Ingersoll Place special are the wonderful people who call it home.

Short term stays offering a full range of resident care services and peace of mind for loved ones. We know that moving to an assisted living community represents a very big change in the lives of our residents and their loved ones. But, it's more than just finding the right place, it's the process itself that can be overwhelming.
Services
In 1913, George T. Ingersoll established a trust fund to care for his brother Jacob and stipulated that any funds that remained after his brother's death be used to establish a "home for aged men" in memory of his parents Hiram and Eva Ingersoll. The Ingersoll Memorial Home opened in 1924 in Schenectady's historic Stanford Mansion and remained a residence for men-only until 1998.
Since its earliest inception, the Ingersoll Memorial Home - known today as Ingersoll Place - has been governed by an all-volunteer board of trustees. Over the years, with each successive generation of new members, the board's collective expertise in business, healthcare, finance, governmental affairs and management has sustained Ingersoll Place as an essential community resource serving the greater Capital Region.
We are a non-profit assisted living facility seeking a professional and responsible individual for our nursing department. Part-Time 3:00pm to 11:00pm and 11:00pm to 7:00am. Full-Time 3:00pm to 11:00pm and 11:00pm to 7:00am. Ingersoll Place is special. You can hear it in the warm welcome at the reception desk and joyful banter among residents and staff.
The long and distinguished history of Ingersoll Place began with an act of charity by George T. Ingersoll who, in 1913, established a trust fund to ensure the wellbeing of his brother Jacob. He stipulated that if sufficient funds remained after his brother's death, they be used to establish a home for aged men in memory of his parents Hiram and Eva Ingersoll.
