Concrete is a warm, natural looking material. It is as durable as the roads you drive on. Concrete is wonderfully versatile, it can be treated to look as seasoned as the Greek ruins or as contemporary as the recently completed Disney Hall (Los Angeles) or Safeco Field in our home state of Washington.

It was a long process from our first conversation to the final product but our collaboration was creative, informative and ultimately a mutually rewarding experience delivering a LEED Gold building.
The main lobby of the newest building at Amazon.com's headquarters campus in central Seattle is definitely one for the books. Steve Silberman, president of Absolute ConcreteWorks, Poulsbo, Wash., describes his company's products as "functional art." Principal artisan Tommy Cook's use. Take one part woodworker, mix in a generous helping of artiste, add structural engineer, chemist and environmentalist and dump the entire concoction into a mixer.
