We've seen Dr G on three occasions for three different parts. The shoulder, the achilles, and a broken elbow. He is compassionate, knowledgeable, talented and caring. He spends a lot of time with his patients explaining options, procedures, what's the best for the patient. He is very honest and doesn't push surgery on you if it's not necessary. I love Dr G and his whole staff who are also very nice and helpful!

I would rate the maximum in all facets. Dr. Gitelis has been a savior for my family for years. Everyone in my family is athletic and along with that, one has injuries. Dr. Gitelis has been OUTSTANDING in dealing with ankles, knees, hips, shoulders, elbows and hands. He ALWAYS examines, analyses, and recommends. He contacted and worked with a colleague who operated on my son from a college football injury that was extremely rare. He insisted on finding a Doctor who had previously performed the operation. I had detached shoulder tendons and was in chronic pain. After seeing two other doctors who could not help me, I went to Dr Gitelis. He had just learned a new technique and could use it to repair my shoulder. After the operation, I feel like he had described a grass hut and presented me with the Taj Mahal. It was life changing. The pain is gone, and my range of motion is excellent. I highly recommend Dr. Gitelis.

I saw Dr. Gitelis with a broken ankle. He opted to try a cast with my understanding that it might not heal right, and I may end up needing surgery if it did not. It would have been easy and profitable to default to surgery, but he cared about me, the patient. It did heal correctly, and I avoided surgery. Since then my husband has seen him with near miraculous results. You cannot do better if you need an orthopedic physician. We are so lucky to have someone of his caliber in the area.

I have had several visits, consultations, procedures and hospital treatments with Dr. Gitelis over a 2 year period and I couldn't be happier. He was always on-time for appointments, and that is important to me. His consultations were always to the point and thoughtful. I needed several in-hospital procedures on my shoulder which was in significant pain. The manipulations on my shoulder were extensive and he did all he could to manage the follow on pain but, the issue was treated and I have not has that issue again. If anyone asks me for a reference for an Orthopedic specialist, it's my pleasure

I went to Dr. Gitelis because I had severe pain in my right knee where I could hardly walk. After xrays and an MRI Dr. Gitelis gave me a few options to consider. I chose to go with his recommendation of a biologics injection. Two days later I was pain free and leading a normal life. If anyone has knee pain before undergoing what may be needless surgery go see Dr. Gitelis. He will give you some options where you may not need costly surgery. I sure am glad I did!

Dr. Gitelis is a doctor who truly cares about his patients. I had knee surgery done and I was not nervous because I knew I was in the best care. He took his time with me when I hobbled into his office. He explained to me what the problem was and how he would fix it. I asked several questions and he was kind and thorough in answering them. He was able to schedule the surgery very quickly. At the hospital, he spoke with me before the surgery and assured me that all would go well. That personal touch means so much to me. Dr. Gitelis is a master of his craft. I came to him with a painful and complicated injury that other doctors were unsure of how to treat. I was in constant pain and unable to sleep or function properly. He was able to sort out the problem and give me new hope. For this I am so much more than grateful.
