Rusty Heagy studied with Herbert Beam on various instruments for 10 years and also took a classical guitar course with David Stafford at Lebanon Valley College. He performs on occasion playing anything from classical solos to jazz bands. He teaches all styles of music and brings his experience in with every lesson.
At Beam's Music Store, we encourage our students' parents to stay during their lesson. We believe it helps affirm their effort and it helps the student get over the initial performance fear that sometimes happens with newer or younger students. Below are our standard policies. We are flexible to a point but in order to be fair to all parties please try and follow these as best as possible.
All you need is a laptop or tablet, a webcam, a reliable internet connection and your instrument. All Virtual Online pacakages come with weekly half hour private remote session at your pace. Two vertual recitals per year June and December. Our Teacher Tom Perry has been teaching students for 11years, his easy going style provides comfortable learning enviroment and with your practice a good learning experiance.
Join the fun and learn at the same time! Beam's Music Store is providing a "Beam's Music Sessions Program" at our main Beam's Music Store located in Ephrata, PA. We have Spring, Summer, and Winter Session. All Instruments and vocal coaching are available. Sessions are 16 week long programs that will enhance your current level of experience or, if you're new to instrumental music, help you learn the fundamentals of a variety of instruments.
Rusty has been a teacher with us for over 20 years, teaching young and old, beginner players, and experienced musicians alike. His main instrument of choice is guitar, but he teaches guitar, mandolin, banjo, and dobro. He teaches different styles of music for each of his instruments such as gospel, bluegrass, country, rock, and folk.
