The owner, Tom Stanley, gained the necessary experience from the two generation family business and working for another paving company in Richmond. Tom decided to form his own company in Gloucester County, where he was raised. He saw a need from both residents and businesses in Gloucester and the surrounding areas for asphalt paving and maintenance.
In early 2007, Tom's Paving began business in Gloucester County only able to offer seal coating and small maintenance to parking lots and driveways. We are proud to say we can meet demands of commercial and VDOT projects with quality, as well as continue to take fuller care of our residential customers.

Several months ago, Tom’s Paving resealed my driveway. The driveway is black asphalt and over 30 years old. I’ve had it sealed many times in the past, always using someone coming through the neighborhood offering a good deal. People refer to them as gypsies. Tom’s put in a new driveway at a neighbor’s house and it looked really good. So, I decided… to hire him to reseal my driveway. That was the best decision I could have made. They came out and did an estimate on a paving job. We received the estimate via email. The estimate was unclear on a few details so we called to discuss it. The estimate listed items that were included in the price but we were told this was a mistake. They were supposed to call us back - we called them at least 3 times and still have not gotten a phone call. I guess we’re lucky to find out how they treat customers early on than after the fact. We found another contractor Gloucester Paving who has been very courteous and gave us a very detailed reasonable estimate.

Tom's did a great job on our driveway. They even buried a pipe for us before they started paving. Excellent customer service. They were very flexible when we decided it was too late in the year and rescheduled the work for this Spring. Very professional.

I would recommend these guys for all your paving needs. They showed up on time with a crew of 6-7 guys. They got straight to worked and worked hard. Everyone was very professional and helpful whenever I asked a question.
I was impressed with the whole crew. They are a hardworking group and really tried to get everything just right. I am completely satisfied with the work they did and have every intention of calling them when I need repairs or maintenance on my driveway.
I’ve waited 21 years to have this done and these guys made it a great day. On top of all that, their pricing is very reasonable

Tom's Paving did an outstanding job on our driveway. Though everyone in our neighborhood recommended them we still did our due diligence with the different companies in Gloucester and Tom's was by far the most knowledgeable and quoted us a very fair price. Could not be more happy with the final result. Don't bother wasting your time getting quotes from other companies.
