York Divers has certified over 6,200 divers and continues to actively train divers. Our staff of ten instructors have over 100 years of combined experience teaching scuba diving. Most of York Divers' professional staff started their training with us and continue to learn by advancing their education with York Divers.

All the equipment you need is supplied: Mask, snorkel, fins, BCD (buoyancy control device), regulator (for breathing), gauges (for monitoring your air use and depth), air tank, and weights.All you need to bring is a swimsuit, towel. If you answer "Yes" to any question on the medical form you MUST be cleared by a physician prior to participation.

The starting level for diving is the PADI Scuba Diver course and Open Water Certification. To enroll in a PADI Scuba Diver course (or Junior Scuba Diver course), you must be 10 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. No prior experience with scuba diving is required, but you can try it first through the York Divers Try It experience.
York Divers offers a variety of courses to help you progress through the advanced levels of diving certification. The Advanced Open Water course provides the novice diver with a well structured supervised means of gaining additional dive skills as well as the opportunity to meet new friends and have fun.
