I broke my glasses on vacation last week and Bob and Gail worked me into their schedule today to basically build a pair of wire-rimmed glasses using parts they had on hand. I wouldn't say the work was cheap but considering they worked me in first thing on a Monday and were able to do this sort of work so quickly, I would say the price was very reasonable. The number of shops in Raleigh who could do this type of work at all is probably few. The number who could do it without having to send off for parts is fewer and I think there may only be one who would and could do a project like this right away

Bob Morris Opticians Was highly recommended by my therapist, they were courteous, & a quick turnaround. The downside and reason for low score is the price was astronomical $1400 and did not work well. I reported problems to therapist who will be careful referring this optician and was shocked at the cost herself. They would not take any part of the glasses or refund back any of the costs for unusable glasses. My optical insurance which is usually a good plan for glasses did not cover but $81 of the $1400 (barely covering the tax). I was the only person in the store both times I went. Now I know

I worked as an optician before a career change and I will not go anywhere besides to Bob and Gail. Part of my job was also being a secret shopper. I went to all of the area optical shops including the big chain stores like Walmart and listened to their opticians sell me my prescription. Let me just say that it was appalling the misinformation and the errors made at a lot of the shops.
Bob and Gail are by far the most knowledgeable shop out here and take the time to make sure you get what is right for your prescription. They have quality frames that aren't discontinued and truly care about getting

My daughter began wearing glasses at about four years old. Bob and Gail were recommended by her eye specialist to help us help us get balanced glasses despite a unique prescription (high degree of nearsightedness in one eye, no prescription in the other eye) on a tiny little face. Bob wasn't convinced that his first grinding was as good as he could get, so he went to the trouble to redo her lens at no cost to us. Honestly, we never would have known the difference given her age and the fact that the first lens was usable, but not perfect. This is not the place I would take my child for a run of

Meh - we were recommended by our optometrist to have our sons eye prescription filled by them, and they were able to fit him with a pair of glasses, but were startled when we got the bill, ~$650 for a pair of glasses for a 4 year old, and they didn't accept insurance, or american express. It also took about 45 days to receive his glasses, and we stopped in during the day a couple times and their office was closed.

Bob and Gail are wonderful. I started going to them and Bill Kistner (now retired) after bad experiences at Eye Associates. They remember me even when I haven't been to see them in a year. I love the energy around their office, the classical music and they are all incredibly welcoming. If you are wanting a nice 'mom and pop' shop where you are treated well and receive excellent care, go to Bob Morris Opticians. My husband goes to them and if they are still working when my children need glasses, they will too!

This was the most wonderful experience I have ever had with truly professional help selecting and properly adjusting frames for my glasses. Showed up friday close to closing time and they were terrific at picking the right frames and choices for me without delay. They spent whatever time it took to make me completely comfortable. I have sent my entire family to them. The customer service is beyond expectations.
