Santa Cruz County is your not-so-typical West Coast beach town. It's situated a little over an hour south of San Francisco, forty minutes north of Monterey and Carmel, and in the middle of the gorgeous Central Coast. The Central Coast is just a short drive from major nearby cities such as Los Angeles and San Francisco.
We encourage our owners to use their homes throughout the year: it is one of the benefits of marketing your second home as a vacation rental! We take pride in getting to know our properties and you, the owner, so that we can provide guests a tailor made vacation experience, and provide quality service to you.
To book a Beachnest vacation rental, we require of your prepaid reservation amount at the time of booking, along with your signed rental contract. Your final payment will be due 60 days prior to your check-in date (depending on the property), along with the fully refundable security deposit.
Upon receipt of your rental contract and confirmation that all payments have been received, we will email you a welcome packet including access information within seven days of your arrival.Personal or cashier's check(s), money order(s) are preferred but we can also accept your credit card for payment.

I stayed at one of their units in Capitola and could not have asked for more! Very responsive a communicative staff. The home was spotless, and fully stocked with everything you would need for lovely vacation. Will definitely be using Beachnest for every trip to Santa Cruz from now on!

We booked a home through VRBO. Received confirmation number. The home was booked for $368.25/ night. The money was withdrawn from our credit card.
I receive an email later on in the evening from John at beachnest rentals stating that there was a mistake and that the home normally rents for 1,200-1,500/ night. He said he would be “willing” to work with us and rent for $1000/ night ALMOST 3x the amount it was originally booked for.
I emailed back stating we would be willing to pay no more the $800/ night (more then fair). He stated he would not be able to accommodate us at that price.
So frustrating

Beachnest vacation rentals was awesome to work with. Everyone there from Liz to John to Julie were very professional and easy to work with. They were able to find me a place to stay for a few months on short notice and after I moved in they were very helpful and responsive to any needs I had. My husband and I spent 4 nights at Buena Vista Retreat house and absolutely loved it! The backyard is secluded and quiet, with a beautiful terraced garden surrounded by redwoods – nice place to lounge in the hot tub! Liz at Beachnest has been tremendously helpful in setting it up for us. She has been responsive and diligent – a total hassle free and pleasurable experience. Would highly recommend!

My family and I have booked via Beachnest on multiple occasions and have always enjoyed our stay and accommodations. Each time we've stayed the rentals were prepared and ready for our arrival. After having spoken with both the owners on a couple of occasions it was clear their highest priority was the enjoyment of our stay in their property. They even delivered a bottle of wine on one trip. Can't beat Beachnest!

Two weeks ago we’ve rented a Seacliff Beach Home from Beachnest. Our group of 6 marketing professionals was attending an industry convention in Santa Cruz and needed a place to stay in the area. John spent a lot of time online and on the phone with me searching for the right house and this one hit the spot! Floor to ceiling windows in the living room with an ocean view and 5 min walk to the beach. The house was very conveniently situated near Seacliff beach in Aptos, with a short drive to Capitola Village with many shops, galleries and restaurants – overall great accommodations and experience

This was our second time we stayed at the Captains Quarters. First time was 2012 for a week and this time for 6 days. We really like the CQ it has everything you'd want in a beach house. The kids just loved every minute and so did we. Some of us slept on the deck listening to waves all night. I want to thank Julie who works for Beachnest for all her prompt emails and making sure everything was right. We'll most likely be back again.

This has been a great treat! The rental house (Rio Bungalow) is "extra" nice and very well maintained! We arrived to our home away from home at Bueno Vista cottage to a warm welcome. The house has all the lovely accoutrements needed to feel you are on vacation. Lovely decir, gardens, amazing outdoor relaxation oasis. Hot tub for 2, gas grill, outside sitting with outside space heaters. The lovely downstairs living with fireplace, babbling fountain and amazing flowers was a much needed respite from the works. This will be our new favorite stay in Santa Cruz. The Beachnest crew was amazing. Comfort, high end at a reasonable price. Lovely!
