Tanalian Bible Camp exists to come alongside the Bible-believing churches in rural Alaska by providing an opportunity for evangelism, discipleship, and Christian fellowship through camping, conferences, retreats, and Biblical education. Tanalian Bible Camp is located in the community of Port Alsworth, Alaska.
Port Alsworth is on shores of Lake Clark near Lake Clark National Park and Preserve, approximately 175 miles southwest of Anchorage. Like so many of the rural communities it serves, Tanalian Bible Camp Christian Summer Camps are only accessible by air. When I first started to go to camp, I went because it was fun.

Services
Since 1963, Tanalian Bible Camp has existed to build up the Body of Christ in rural Alaska by providing evangelism, discipleship, fellowship and leadership development through camps, conferences and Biblical mentoring. Remote Alaska is filled with wonder and beauty that inspires awe and adventure. Like many places, alcohol, abuse and drugs, can smother hope and negatively impact a community.
In 1963, families scattered in remote villages throughout the Iliamna Lake area of Southwest Alaska had no central gathering place. With an approximate combined population of 1,000 from six villages, adults and teens hungered for relationships with their peers. In response to this need, Spring Family Conference was started in Iliamna.
Tanalian Bible Camp's desire is to love and glorify God through living out these core values. We are about building loving, Biblical relationships and community, inviting people to abide in Jesus. We are committed to create a culture that fosters faith, protection, creativity, fun and friendship. We purpose to love and serve Alaskans by being a gathering place that encourages connections, developing unity in the Body of Christ.
Tanalian Bible Camp was founded by a team of volunteers who invested their time, talent and treasure to see Alaskans in our region united in Christ. Fifty-five years later we continue to rely on volunteers and ministry partners across the United States and within Alaska to sustain fulfill our vision.
We are committed to deliver programing that fosters faith, protection, creativity, fun and friendship. I grew up in Dillingham in a Russian Orthodox home and attended camp for 10 years. When I was a camp counselor, I could relate to many of the campers and their questions. My time at camp and as a TLC student helped me understand the Bible and God's love for me.
