Dutchess Scuba Diving is a full service adventure dive center located at 1164 Route 9G in historic Hyde Park, New York. Our business has been established since 2013. We have been striving to satisfy experienced divers while introducing a whole new set of divers to the wonders of the underwater universe.

Services
Classes are generally scheduled when there is enough student interest. The class room portion is conducted at our shop located in Hyde Park and the confined water work may be held at Bard College, Kingston YMCA, Vassar College or the Jewish Community Center located in Poughkeepsie, NY. Scuba diving is a great family sport and can be enjoyed by all members of the family from 10 years old to mature members.
We try to hold classes as often as the interest dictates. If you are interested in beginning scuba or have an advanced diving class in mind, please call 845.444.9015 and speak to a representative and we can advise you as to the next date available. We are able to work with most schedules and will try to accommodate nights and weekends as possible.
Try Scuba is an introductory mini course that allows you to find out what scuba diving is really like before you take the plunge into a full scuba certification course. Generally, the class lasts only a couple of hours, but the student is given an overview of scuba diving, introduced to the equipment and its functions and then suited up and put in a pool to experience the novelty of breathing underwater.
Becoming an Open Water Diver is the first step towards your scuba adventures. With personalized training we will make sure you are truly comfortable in the under water world. Some academics can be completed online and at your own pace. SSI online academics require the student to purchase the course material at our shop and they are then provided an access code for the on-line lessons.
In the SSI Stress and Rescue course, you will learn what causes stress and then what causes diver stress, how a normal dive becomes a rescue situation and what to do when that happens. Covered will be causes and prevention of stress, detecting and dealing with stress, accident management, rescue skills and conditions that complicate a rescue.
